The bright One had mixed feelings about the evening. Riley had wanted a more minor party to celebrate landing the part. But now Archie had tied it to Beltane Dragging both the Freehold at large and the entertainment industry into it. It complicated matters, as they still tried to make things better with the Troupe and earn their respect and trust. Riley knew this party would set them back if they didn't handle it properly. So the Moth made sure every Troupe member was personally invited, even the backups like Naomi. Riley quickly realized tonight was going to be less of a party and more like work. For the evening, the Darkling chose a much more feminine look than hey had presented at Ostara. It was a difficult choice to make being AFAB. Public perception always seemed to loom on Riley's mind when they presented feminine. Were they queer enough? Did people think they catering to others' comforts? The anxieties and stress about the evening had made the Darkling's prep time longer than usual. In the end, Riley settled on a lace black kimono robe thrown over a black one-piece swimming suit with cuts on one side. It was simple, but effective giving the Darkling an elegant look that was practical enough to take advantage of the pool. Riley arrived in tow with their Partner Dani. The Darkling had already tortured the elemental by spending an extra hour thinking of what to wear that night. Arriving at the party, Riley took a moment to gape at the Venue. "God, Archie knows how to throw a party."
Riley paused and took Dani by the waist, pulling her close. Sure there was a huge pool, and that wasn't Dani's jam. But the music was good, and people were looking radiant, and the light off the water certainly worked well for Dani. Riley couldn't help but give a satisfied smirk. "Right, one thing I forgot." They pull Dani into a long kiss, before "You look radiant. I have a few things I need to do attend first. But I'll catch you later."With their new mantle manifestation, and the importance of tonight, Riley spent the first part of the evening welcoming important guests and carousing. Ensuring those who attended were included and indulgent in the night's festivities. The twilight dancer had a bright smile, fluttering between guests, seeming to cycle around them as if they were each the light of the party, of the night. Archie may have made this party about Riley, but the Moth, however, would use this party to prove that they deserved a place amongst the spring court and the entertainment industry. They gave special attention to members of the troupe. Making sure each had a drink, and engaging them in a warming conversation. Once they were satisfied with members of the troupe and the company, Riley made sure to check in with members of the Spring court. Finishing around through the Venue, the Bright One found their way to their reserved table seated just back on the raised area from the pool. Cocktail in hand, they took a seat to catch their breath and take a moment.

Carr had changed.
Rather than simply drained of colour, his skin was cold and marble where the scarification was obvious in its pearlescent shimmer; the humanity in his eyes had been lost to a white sheen. At first, those in attendance assumed he was wearing Hedgespun shoes before it became apparent that the Song of Arcadia demand the Dancer walk on his toes, crystal splitting painfully up and through his calves like a blossoming cancer with each step, until he found a perch and the wounds resealed.
He didn't seem to pay it any mind, offering easy smiles and soft laughter when his friends engaged him.

Not being far from where Kai Rose was standing, Eis can't help but catch her impressive display of acrobatics - though her initial response is to jerk back a step in hopes of not getting wet. The frosty Autumn 'fears' it may be unavoidable as drinks flow and Courtiers and mundanes alike party in and around the pool.
And who else should take notice of the same than dear Lucas Chevalier . Eis remains quiet but smiles in his direction. He's truly a welcome distraction. For the eyes. She considers joining the impromptu group forming around the aforementioned acrobat, but decides to take care of business first. She's here for a reason, and cannot help but notice the 'guest of honor'. Looking a tad bit more on the feminine side this evening. Eis sighs to herself. It won't be easy. Though, to their credit, Riley Sorsa seems to be mingling well. Smiles, courtesies, and providing no real reason for Eis to feel more uncomfortable than she already does. So, once Riley settles to their reserved table, Eis makes her way over.
"Riley." she says, announcing herself as she approaches the table. "And Mr. Hartman." she adds, glancing at their host. @archie seems to have outdone himself. Not that she has much to compare it to, mind you. But the man must have connections. And money. Her attention turns back to Riley. "Congratulations are in order." she says, politely - if also a little flatly. "You've done well for yourself. And, by proxy, your colleagues." Of course she refers to the rest of Spring. Though it could just as easily apply to the rest of Riley's troupe. "Your outfit is rather fetching, isn't it?" An almost mischievous smile creeps onto her mortal-looking features. She never really pegged riley for a Fairest, feeling rather confident she'd know another of her own if she saw one, but Riley certainly shows like one. Always hard to miss in a crowd. Perhaps more so, now. After all, the evening is about them.

Getting out of her Uber, Bella walks into the event space. She has her ink black wavy tresses up in a ponytail, she is wearing a light grey linen tunic blouse, a plum knee length skirt with black gladiator style sandals in lieu of her usual chunky black heelies. She has light makeup on, her usual bubbly smile painted dark pink instead of her usual black. Tucked behind her left ear, she has a small lily flower and a simple necklace with a goddess charm as her accessories. She scans the rooms for familiar faces and see her mentor and colleague Eis but doesnt walk over seeing that she is currently busy talking with some other and instead keeps looking for others.

Well it was time to do the party thing - and it was wonderful seeing one of the people he had gone out of his way to invite had actually showed up and so he decided that it was time to engage.
“Mitch! I am happy to see you could find the time to attend. It means a lot, you know?”
Archie approached the Bishop and offered a friendly hand as he broke the ice, while drinking in the increased strength of the wyrd when it came to the Dancer. An almost frightening beauty.
“Did you come with anyone? If not I would love to have you come mingle at my table. It is a great spot for people watching.”

The Fairest lit up from the friendly exchange. Sure, Archie had a thing about transactional relationships, but Mitchell wasn't someone who judged that sort of thing. If anything it made the beats easier to anticipate.
"Oh, for sure! It's really cool that you put this together for your friend," he said, managing the slang with humans flitting around, and more than one eying him up. "It must have been an incredible amount of work."
He let himself get led to the Chatelaine's table, flowing between people and rushing servers like they weren't there. "Uh- no, no I didn't. I've been out of the loop for a bit; owed the energy of the universe some time to vibe." To anyone listening he sounded like a New Age enthusiast, but apparently he had run into some trouble with the Wyrd. The fact that he was bringing it up in the first place likely meant he assumed there was some gossip or scandal around the topic.
Broken promises? Hartman didn't sense anything wrong with him, however.

Wrapped up in a group of mundane invitees, Linden was seated on the edge of one of the low booths, elbows propped on their knees as they leaned in to hear someone's addition to the conversation. They knew there was a timer counting down somewhere and soon they would need to move on; the Ogre was almost certain they had only been absorbed into this group due to morbid curiosity, and someone was about to come out with a question they didn't want to answer. Their money was on someone asking how they'd gotten one or all of the scars that patterned their skin, especially visible due to the black cut-off jean shorts they were wearing; traditional swim-wear was a no-go, but they'd tried to stay on theme. That, or one of the people trying to covertly check what could be seen of their chest beyond the partially unbuttoned shirt would really commit to being an ass. Finishing the end of their drink, they excused themself politely (only for Riley's sake, this was their celebration) and let their long legs take them away to safer pastures. Linden shook off the discomfort with an annoyed laugh, content in the knowledge that they could've picked that man up and tossed him like a pizza right into the pool. But they hadn't, which they thought was very good of them. A fresh drink in hand, they spied Bella on the way back to their table- one of the Freehold but a face they couldn't put a name to. Pausing beside her, they smiled and held out a hand. No offense would be taken if she declined to shake it. "Hey, don't think we've met; I'm Linden. Impressive set up, huh?"Bella

“Well self reflection and time away can really do wonders, and I am very serious that it means a lot. I know our previous endeavors had some hiccups and it means a lot that you would still come out for us. For us scouts it means a lot seeing you here.”
Archie was quite genuine with the sentiment as they weaved through the crowds. “And this sort of thing? A bit of stress, a raised voice here and there, shake the right hands, give the right looks and it eventually comes together. All of the work, effort, and hair pulling? You stop for a moment and look at what is happening, and you know that amongst the crowd there are people who are never going to forget this, and in the end that is the thing that makes it all worth it. Hopefully this isn’t Riley’s peak but I really hope it is something they can remember. I hope I did enough to make it special.”
It was quite candid, but the Bishop had been a kind person towards him, and Archie at the same time had seen him step up for their rag tag group in the face of dealing with a Summer psychopath he clearly had beef with. As they rounded the pool they approached his table which had the guest of honor and none other than Eis, which he could only hope was staying on the rails of a civil conversation. Archie and Mitch go here

Yet again, another event Rowan didn't want to participate in had come around. Spring-hosted, Beltane started with one strike. The fact that Archie was the host (again) and Riley was the guest of honour (again) didn't help.
Had he been his old self, it would have been enough to make him stay home, far away from the Antler Crown and its busybodies. But, He wasn't his old self. Slowly, tentatively, Rowan had been trying to reintegrate Changeling society in a way that didn't create more antagonism along the way. Besides, his new allegiance was going to force him to interact with Spring sooner or later so he might as well get used to it. According to Dormarch, Icarus' connection with them was his biggest asset and as a good vassal Rowan would have to make sure to not mess up. Ugh.
The second strike came from the dress code. Working as a janitor with a fake ID didn't exactly pay enough to shop in trendy stores and it was the main reason Rowan mostly wore second-hand. It was difficult to not take the requirements personally, or even to not see it as elitism. Luckily enough, some of the 1% gave away expensive clothes to charities and thrift stores. The fit was a little tight, which made the Darkling look (and feel) like a douche bag, but at least it would get him through the doors. Never mind that it cost him most of his meagre economies. The deep blue made his skin look even paler, enhancing the beauty inherent in all Changelings. He looked ethereal.
He had decided to go as himself, in an attempt to show progress in his issues. As he entered the venue, he wondered how long that would last. The only good thing so far was that Riley was difficult to miss. It was getting old, seeing the Moth in the spotlight. Academically, he understood that it was likely a byproduct of their kith rather than a voluntary behaviour. Personally, it didn't matter.
As he waited to offer Riley Sorsa the congratulations his attendance demanded, Rowan looked around for faces he could make out. He noted Mitch, with his brittle legs, as well as Icarus and Dormarch. He would do his homage to his liege a little later, assuming the Knight of Dying Light wouldn't be swarmed by every single thirsty Emerald. While they were all people of note, the Darkling was looking for someone else.

Fire knew a small degree of Riley's feelings about the party. It was going to be what it is, which is generally how Fire thinks about most things. If anyone thought that Firebringer was going to go into a pool, they are severely wrong. So severely wrong, that if they thought it would happen, they should likely get checked for glasses. And if someone even accidentally pushes her into a pool, punches might be thrown. Sometimes she wonders if part of the reason she was made into a fire elemental is because she has always been absolutely terrified of drowning. It's the little things isn't it? Tonight, Dani has arrived in a yellow sundress with buttons down the front and pockets. Because who doesn't like pockets? She doesn't entirely match with her partner, but she does wear a similar lacy shawl to bring it together. Tonight is the first night that fire is daring to wear her head out. She's been so self-conscious about it since it happened, wearing a wig every second of the day, including when she went to bed. Her makeup is pleasing, gold eyeshadow with black wings upon her eyes and a daring red lip. If she was going to look different, then she was going to look striking damn it. Riley Sorsa sneaking in a big kiss makes her a little weak in the knees. Every time they kiss her it is like a completely different experience. "You are amazing you know that? I'm so proud of you." She gives them another little peck and wave as they move off to go about their socializing and then begins looking around to decide how they are going to spend their own evening. Danica spots a slightly new person who doesn't seem to have anyone to talk to at the moment. Perhaps they need some company? As she makes her way over, she gives a little wave to @archie , "You put together an amazing event." As amazing as Riley themselves She gives us similar ways to Mitchell. At the same time, she spots the new person beginning to talk to Linden . Oh good, Linden is great to talk to. She gives a little wave to Linden and then the new person. She waits to speak though, because she doesn't want to be rude in the middle of other people's introductions. As she stands there, she notices Bella 's pendant. It's a symbol she is pretty sure she recognizes, but it would be awkward to not if she says it out loud. Perhaps a talking point?

Bella looks over to the new person waving at her and Linden and smiles. " Oh...My...Glob! I love your makeup you're so pretty!" She practically starts vibrating where she stands. Calming down a bit, " Hi! I'm Bella Knott, pleasure to meet you-?" Bella asks.

"Not rude at all, my pronouns are they/them," Linden answered, clasping Bella's hand warmly. Some folks assumed, some got it by context or listening, but it was a little breath of fresh air to be asked, after the dynamic they'd just left. It felt a bit like a radio returning a transmission at a frequency not everyone could hear.
Turning slightly to adjust for whoever Bella waved at, Linden grinned at Firebringer and turned fully, inviting the Elemental into the introductions.

"Interesting in what sense?"
The Muse flashes a grin at the other Autumn courtier as she drinks from a pale pink mojito. She squints, the brass eye whirring as if she's trying to track the maze that riddled the other Wizened's mien.
Rowan emerges, beelining to the a familiar anchor to find her already chatting with someone, but it's hardly surprising given her nature.
