Joh continues to look round the crowd. "Well, just remarking on the vast opportunities here." A half smile slowly forms. "I'm sure everyone's quite interesting in their own. So what do you have to say? You seem to have an eye on things `round here."

Rowan slid between the party-goers like a breeze, heading in the direction of his fellow Courtiers. " Oh, Felicity’s great. She knows all types of cool stuff. I’m Rowan," he offered to the one he’d never seen before. "Sorry I’ve been AWOL," he turned back to the Wizened. " I’ve taken the advice you gave me at Imbolc to heart." Before, the Darkling had been too self-involved to try and empathize with his acquaintances. Too much in his own head, too big of a chip on his shoulder. He spared a glance to Felicity.

Felicity popped her lips as she thought, playing along with the mystique Relic was trying to project. "Mostly everything." She leaned in and whispered conspiratorially, "I'm a Witness for the Eternal Echoes, and the tales of power and spirit chant across time, if I were only ask the right question."Was he making a crack at her eye? She ginned and shivered as Rowan popped in, offering him a fist bump of encouragement for his tenacity when the Darkling was usually so morose. As the Darkling examined all he had compiled about the Wizened: her high energy, glowing demeanor, talented performance, and need to help others all carved from bronze and music it dawned on him that she was a Muse. Indeed, she would have the ability to turn ambition into an unrelenting madness and obsession with the right bardic whisper of Arcadian inspiration. Being largely connected to the other Seasons, who knows what pieces she cogs she could spin if she ever wanted to? The Autumn's head jerked towards the commotion across the pool, gasping quietly as a Summer officer started beating on the talent agent and their party host.

The fight completed with no innocent bystanders dragged into it, Kai handed her gift to Riley to the service staff to set with the Moth's coat. Now wasn't the time for her to engage with Sorsa, especially not given the potentially serious issues that Loki had raised. They had a fallen Motleymate to tend to. Still, she did want to wish the Darkling well.
Giving Rowan, Felicity and John a little wave on the way past, Kai headed for the exit.

A pang of guilt. Rowan didn't get those often.
He reciprocated the fist bump. It felt nice. Felicity had been one of the first people to talk to him, and he had done to her exactly what Danica had done to him. He latched on for dear to the first person that had shown a sliver of interest. Given her kith, the way Arcadia had changed Felicity, the Darkling understood her reaction and he rebuke at Imbolc. Soft lilac touched his otherwise pallid cheeks.
Following the Wizened's gaze, Rowan looked across the party. "Excuse me," he said, before going with a Contract that had become second nature at this point. Moss and mushrooms covered his exposed neck and eyes.
A cloud of spores, barely visible even if you focused on it, shot through the venue. Filtering conversations one by one, he finally managed to zero on it on what was happening. Loki. 'Crap.'

Rowan The conversation was clear: Archie had been accused by a popular high ranking Summer noble, known to have kenning of spells and lies, that he had used magic to control and subjugate his allies. The details were anywhere from a friendly patron coerced by a shadowy puppet master for not swearing to the Power Block, to being a megalomaniac Fairest that got off on the idea of hurting the meek. Rowan got the nature of who was supposedly affected, and heard the term "Verdant Creed" whispered among some of the Spring attendees...whatever that meant. Either way, the motley was in trouble if they didn't start smoothing things. It made a big difference when you were on your own without a Knight in Spring, it seems.

The party continued as normal for the mundane after the brief bout of excitement. A brawl in a liquored Las Vegas event wasn't anything particularly special. For the Freehold, on the other hand, nerves were high at the potential of an incoming Motley War that would disrupt the peace they had all sacrificed for...
