The Moth caught wind of Archie's signals and excused themselves at an appropriate moment to join the talent agent.

Ivory blinks as she's made, her face perplexed as it's revealed she failed to maintain her mask. With some slight embarrassment, the Pale Dragon averts her gaze and clears her throat, before eventually moving forward to accept the card.
"My ire is not directed towards the opportunity, Sir Chugunkin. Therefore, it is irrelevant," Ivory's tone was even and honest. There was little sense in lying to the man, "Your goal is a noble one. The... other matter will not hinder my work, you have my word."
The Pale Dragon looked to the crush of the bodies below. The office was likely closed at this hour, but Ivory was getting the distinct impression the talk was finished.
"I assume you would see me dismissed so that you might enjoy Lady Sedna's company more privately?" she asked, "Or did you require something more?"

The man who Sedna called to the table announced his exit, almost electric in his excitement to book it to the bathroom. There was an odd, manic energy to it as he didn't bother to explain his interest or speak with Archie and Riley on the manner.
Maybe it was a contest?
Sedna laughed again, almost wiping a tear from the display. A polite nod was offered to Riley, thanking them for the meeting, while she smiled to Agrippa and Ivory.
The Russian elite's expression was neutral.
"I'm not sending you away like staff," he grunted to Ivory's statement. He had invited the women to the table as a guest and potential project lead. "If you have no questions, then finish your drink and go about your business. The neighbourhood is not going to blow up in the next hour."

Agrippa nodded as Sedna accepted their offer, an easy smile masking a fear deep beneath that they had just done something terribly unwise. The expression melted into a disappointed confusion as they found the crowd at the table shrinking at an alarming rate. It was only then that they realized that everyone had been roped into Churgunkin's little project, either directly or indirectly- everyone except them that was. They didn't know how to feel about that.
"Ah well, if that's that then I won't burden you my company any longer. It was a pleasure."
They put the smile back on as they stood, making it clear they didn't really think of their presence as being a burden on anyone present. They gave Chugunkin and Sedna a respectful nod, before shooting Ivory a look that silently asked if she wished to accompany them on their exit.

The simple statement had been unexpected by the Pale Dragon, Ivory's brows rising in genuine surprise as the Knight of Coin afforded her respect. Her mind had a way of viewing organized crime a bit differently than many of the Lost of Las Vegas, in part due to the days leading to her being stolen away. Yet this interaction was oddly pleasant. Perhaps the occasional association with Chugunkin's powerbase and a friendly relationship with the Knight of Coin himself would not be as bad as she once believed.
She'd grant the Knight of Coin a nod and a smile, a touch warmer than her cordial demeanor had been throughout the meeting.
"As you say, Sir Chugunkin," she offered, "Nonetheless, I will see to the matter in the coming days and relay any findings that might be used to influence them to uproot. While they still have the means. Naturally, I expect Mr. Hartman will want to collaborate once he attains Mr. Carr's assistance. I will do my part."
With the business of the evening wrapped up in a shiny bow, the Fairest would lift her glass to Chugunkin.
"To your health," she toast, granting a space of time for the gangster to respond before taking a drink.
Soon the Dragon's gilded gaze found the wilting Beast.
"Agrippa," she said, "You possess a certain... softer edge that might help me in my work. Do you wish to assist?"
Blunt as she was, Ivory cracked the door open that Agrippa seemed intent on closing. It was a final offer to curry some favor with the Knight of Coin should they wish to.

Agrippa nodded again as Ivory proposed the toast- they might not've had a glass, but it felt dangerously wrong to not participate in some capacity, given who the toast was for. They had been fully prepared to turn around and take their leave when the dragon hit them with the offer for involvement in the Knight's ambitions. Eyes previously glazed over in passive cordiality brightened and focused. They still didn't know how to feel about it. About half a second passed before they made the executive decision to mindlessly let their smiling mouth take the wheel.
"Yes, of course! I would love to."
When in doubt, seize the opportunity! Any potential regret was a problem for future Agrippa to deal with. They injected a little energy and excitement into their tone to mask lingering uncertainty.
"I'll admit, I don't have much technical knowledge or connections regarding municipal housing, but it does not sound like that's what you're recruiting me for anyways."
A charismatic grin punctuated the statement and emphasized what was left unsaid.

The screens of the nightclub stage flash, turning red as one of the dancers attends the stage. It rapidly becomes apparent that her talent goes beyond the usual as a full blown professional, which was odd given the lack of fanfare or introduction. It also rapidly becomes apparent that the horns aren't a cheeky costume piece.

At the silence to her toast, Ivory merely smiles and drinks, the enthusiastic nature of Agrippa detracting her attention away from wondering if she had committed some unspoken faux pas.
"Excellent," she offered, "You will need a suit. Preferably neutral colors... I know you are fond of pastels, but our role may call for something more... subdued. Let me know you lack the attire we can arrange to purchase one and get it fitted. The sooner the better."
Overkill? Maybe, but no matter which way you cut it, Ivory knew she was going to be going into a place to attain information, likely with the assistance of the Wyrd. She wanted to ensure that she - and her compatriots - looked like they belonged.
As the dance began, the Ivory's eyes were drawn to it easily. A delighted smile touched her lips.
"We will speak soon," Ivory offered before moving to depart, "Enjoy your evening."

Agrippa put on a show of mild embarrassment, swallowing some of their excitement back behind a smile mildly apologetic
"As much of my wardrobe is bright shimmer and sparkle, I do have grey and white for blander occasions. Don't worry- unless we need to go undercover as street kids, I'll be able to present myself appropriately."
Something in their tone carried with it a subtle rejection of what they saw as chiding, though it was buried deep beneath a reassurance that was equally as genuine. They weren't lying about the state of their closet, after all. Ivory's attentions on the dancer eventually drew their own, causing the beast to miss a beat when the Dragon announced her departure
"Same to you! Do let me know if you would like me to prepare anything beforehand."
They bid her goodnight with a small wave, wondering briefly if they should follow suit. A scan of the crowd revealed Archie and Riley to already be occupied with conversation- they didn't recognize either conversation partner, but assumed that the pair wouldn't particularly enjoy being interrupted. The night had begun with Archie spurning their own conversation for business, after all... The dancer was another point of interest, though of course she was busy doing exactly that. They might have luck speaking to her if she finished her set, but it was a gamble. Either way, the beast didn't have anything better to do tonight, and honestly throwing in the towel this early in a party really wasn't an option for them. So they glided on over close to the stage, found a seat to house them, and sat watching and waiting for social opportunity.

Ivory would smile and wink to the Helldiver. This could be a fortuitous alliance... if the Unicorn got over the sense that Ivory was chiding them. Then again, the Pale Dragon had grown used to this. Many interpreted her forward nature as such, but, tonight at least, Ivory could not be bothered to offer comforts regarding her intent.
The night was kicking off into a party, but for the dragon there was yet more to do.
Thus, she left the immediate company of the Knight of Coin, his entourage, and Agrippa. Yet she did not join the throngs below, instead sifting through the crowd to address other Lost quietly in order to find her way to the event's other host.

The Sage Escort noted the angelic courtier watching her from the perch, affording them a saucy wink before moving off and behind the stage, later to emerge to join an entourage of impressive Mantles.
The Pale Dragon skirts the ebb and flow of the party, eventually nestling herself among these elites with her own regal presentation as one at completely at home. A few looks meant to drive her off as navigated and diffused with polite conversation that bulldoze the awkward wall, and soon she's treating her nay-sayers in the subtle dance of tithe and confidence. The environment is damp and still in comparison to the rest of the club. The cool, saturated air diffuses in a lull of fractured spectrums and muffling sounds outside the circle. Light dances through pollen motes of an unseen forest as beads of moisture started to form on Ivory's skin.
The world of court feels distant, now, and the roar of the falls is a little distracting. Just when Ivory was trying to process the best algorithm to assert herself to the Knight, Nimbus casually stood up and extended a hand, much to her surprise. His grip was soft and cool, like dipping your fingers into a mountain pool. The curls of his hair were polished and glittering with dew, and he had a glassy stare along with a vacant smile; lost in the fog.
"Glad I could finally meet you," he said amiably, with the ghost of a French accent. The glass pommel of his sword caught the sunset in a prism: it was in the shape of a double tailed mermaid. From where he previously sat, a woman had been flanking him. Her powder-teal scales shimmered like jewelry, leaning in to say something for Eurydice's ears alone. Ivory had almost written her off as another brown nosing Fairest, but her whole countenance reeked predator as the mermaid's shark teeth flashed between grinning whispers.

The Sage Escort had noticed them, that was a good start. Even better, the gamble had paid off- not only had she finished her set, but she had left the stage only to return to the public floor. It wasn't a victory quite yet, but it meant that Agrippa had a chance, and that's all they could have asked for. They mouthed a silent "thank you" to lady luck before hauling themselves back to their feet to re-enter the fray. The unicorn may not have had the clout in court status or mantle that the rest of her current company apparently possessed, but their recent mingling with court nobility emboldened them. If nothing else, they knew how to be eye-candy, and this was a circle of people for whom that skill tended to get them pretty far.

The casual nature of the Knight of Rains definitely caused a stall in the Pale Dragon, the Fairest mentally pausing even as her hand moved to shake his on reflex. A slight look of confusion reigned for a moment as the Pale Dragon looked between her hand and then the Knight of Rains himself. His amiable nature, though, brought the Pale Dragon back down to a certain comfort, a small smile hitting her lips.
"You... know me, sir?" she asked, her mind harkening back to the day she had uttered the same words to Chasseur. Their association had at least been believable. They had drank together, or so he claimed. It made sense, but Ivory could not recollect a moment in which she could have entered the Elemental's sphere of interests.

"Nope," he chuckled, sitting back down, "I mean, maybe. I've seen you around, anyway. It's always nice to meet another Emerald."
As if summoned, Agrippa settled in next to Ivory with their natural timing.
The teal mermaid called his attention and gestured to her phone, to which he smiled and checked whatever needed attending to. No one seemed in a hurry to help the two Unicorns get caught up or properly situated, only offering alcohol freely as if they were part of the clubbing aesthetic of glittering arm candy. The mermaid and Eurydice seemed to be talking about business ventures, though not alluding to specific venues or locations; already caught up on the coding and simply comparing numbers. It might have been coded, or just polite conversation that one would expect at these functions?
It was subtle for those not practiced in the dance of social nuances; the two had not been integrated yet, and it was starting to show as the talking floated over and around them. The pleasantries was so much friendly gate keeping.
