Archie had made sure to be polite about the abrupt excusing of himself and Riley, whom he had nudged and purged to come and join him as they right two things - may as well get what they could over with as fast as possible since there were plenty of meat and potatos to dig into regarding what had just been asked of them and the steps it would take to accomplish get them to the end. “Alright Riley, there is a very particular reason I needed you to come with me - it seems Chugunkin thinks we need or should have Mr. Carr joins us on our little escapades, wonderful, right? Well as much as it was me who promised to try and get him on board we do have a slight problem - while I am happy to negotiate with the gentleman I don’t think I have the best ice breaker when it comes to approaching strange men in the club. Hence - I think what I am saying is I need a wing moth, someone who knows how to work a crowd, and more particularly isn’t nearly as awkward in the setting. Now while you may see fit to leave me to my fate of potentially getting removed for being a creeper, I will get us all drinks to make the pitch over, so you have that coming at the very least. Plus our collective success is worth it, no?”As they swept away from the upper deck Archie’s spiel came quickly - just on the verge of two fast and he would abruptly stop at the bottom of the stairs and turn to face Riley, raising a finger. ”I will also owe you one, and Archie Hartman always pays his debt.”Duty, onus, honor, and gain - What more could the Darkling ask for? ”Please?”Riley SorsaKrakenbox

He couldn't go out there looking like this. This was a special occasion. He had to look his best. A trip to the bathroom was all that was necessary. It was fair to say that Oren really took his time erasing Penrose as if his very existence was a scourge of acne on a teenager's face. He scrubbed down to the root. As he brushed against quicksilver, it came away a gleaming gold. Ruby put on a fresh coat of lipstick and made herself comfortable on higher ground. A small table for one. Eyes, searching. Come out, come out wherever you are....

The Moth caught wind of Archie's signals and excused themself at an appropriate moment to join the talent agent.
The moth had a look of mild trepidation on their face as Archie expressed his need for help in the situation at hand. She/they hadn't gotten a clear signal if they should get involved, more so after Archies little slip up with the Chugster. However, the chance to make their name and keep it on the mind of the Knights present this evening was an opportunity the Bewitched couldn't pass up easily.
"Fine. Alright. I can do that. " They said simply. Raising their gauntleted hand giving it two crystal clear snaps, and let the bioluminescent glamour shimmer within the hedgespuns crystals for a moment.
Setting up a social moment that could introduce, Archie was going to be the easy part for the Bright One. First, however, they needed to find Mitch for Riley to make their move. Scanning the crowd, the moth looked for where the Knight of Coin had gestured in the party before spying Mitch in the crowd.
Riley approached in the crowd, but it seemed Ruby had beat them there.

Archie helped the Darkling on the hunt based on a quick descriptor - but Archie didn't even know what he was looking for!

The target wasn't too hard to spot once you knew what you were looking for. Not for an explosive presence or gaggle of fans, but in a sea of colour, expressive makeup, and neon lights, the statue-esque Dancer presented a jarring dichotomy.
Mitch liked his surroundings chaotic and asymmetrical to take attention away from his alien-precise movements. A fashionable leather jacket and a button up stood stark against the marble skin: the snow white elf with swan-feather hair was an easy spot in a crowd. He balanced a drink in one hand as he texted, looking more like he belonged in a scene on camera than melding with the mundane activity — every movement queued and flowing in a presentation.

Bathed in the gilded goldust of the Roaring Twenties, Ruby sipped at something dry and crisp, steeling herself before making her way through crowd and light.
And there goes the smile. Not too much teeth. Recognition. Professional recognition. "Excuse me, but, you're Mitchell Car, right?"

The Dancer blinked up from what he was doing as the woman's voice slid into his personal bubble, offering an unguarded smile. The device as tucked back into his jacket before he placed the drink down. The light was new, fracturing as the Seasonal swallows cut through the colourful beams — his Mantle had risen recently.
"Yep! ...Can I help you?"

"I just wanted to say..."
Embarrassment. Yearning. For what? Approval? No...no...acknowledgement. Ruby didn't need approval. She knew that she was good. She just wanted to be seen.
"I love your work...I -"
A rub of the shoulder. A rearranging of the posture. She's a fan, Mitchell.
"I saw you in La Sylphide. Back in undergrad. It, well, it's why I dance. It's why I teach. And, well, I never thought I'd get a chance to thank you."

Riley laid eyes on Ruby as she made her moves on Mitch. The bright one did not recognize the shapeshifter, that didn't matter. Someone as beautiful as that is due to to be a distraction. They had a job for Mitch and Riley wasn't going to let this woman distract from it.
They- She moved across the party floor, the click of her heels like knives across the marbled floor. Heralding the arrival of the Bright One. Her radiance dripped with confidence and allure. Moving to the bar she orders a drink before turning her attention to Ruby and Mitch.
What followed next was a dazzling display of a social dance.
Turning her gaze to Ruby she looked her up and down with a flirtatious smile “Well aren't you a vision, and you!” She turned her eye to Carr, their black eyes burning mirrors of her own radiance.
“ And the talented Mitch Carr? Small world you were just a topic of conversation!”
“ The name is Riley, It's a pleasure” She stated making meaningful eye contact with Mitch. The moth was easily recognizable as being one of the women on stage early in the evenings rather than saucy entertainment.
“I am dying to know what your thoughts were on our performance this evening?” The arched eyebrow, and delicate smirk, only helped cement the flirtatious nature of the question.
Despite having just interrupted their introduction the Moths smile, charisma and a flirtatious attention to both parties, quickly pushed the social faux pas out of mind.
“Oh !” She let out a delight sound before waving at Archie.
“Mr. Hartman! We were just talking about tonight's entertainment” The moth waved over the Talent agent with a smile that could kill.

Who the heck was talking to Mitch...He was just happy that the pair of Emeralds had spotted them when they had since the conversation still seemed in its infancy. Riley was quick on the draw though, a real gunslinger when it came to the game of greetings it seemed. He used the moments of down time to collect some drinks. Keep Your Pansies On for himself, and a Whiskey Business for Riley. A casual drink never hurt the conversation. He turned to see how things were going, and god...Remind him never to get on the Moth’s bad side because they could sweet talk the sugar plum fairy from the show he was seeing set before him. Oh hey! It was his queue! Archie would deftly as he could bridge the distance, cozying up to the right side of the Spring veteran and handing Riley he drink. “Oh yes, hello good evening! Archie Hartmen, pleasure, pleasure!”
He spoke exclusively to Mitch, and offered a hand to shake. “Would you care to join Riley and I? I would love to have another voice at the table - Next rounds on me!”

The Fairest stayed relatively comfortable with relentless perfectionism by accepting everyone as they are. Ulterior motives did not naturally occur in his mind, because he didn't allow it. One wouldn't want the world becoming a little less bearable as he locked onto navigating those extra rules. He just couldn't help himself, and so 'boundaries' were simply a game of matching step before he could flow to the next dance.
He was surprisingly warm about the sudden attention he was receiving — if a bit embarrassed. He wasn't famous, but apparently this dance instructor knew him and had picked him out in one of the busiest clubs in Vegas.
How sweet!
"Oh, thank you," he laughed, flushing a bit as she touched his shoulder. That ballet was a bit on the nose, for them, but that was a private joke not understood by the mundane. Sad ending, though. "I'm touched?" He seemed genuine with the statement, taking the moment for what it was instead of questioning it. "What's your name? Where do you teach?"
Pale grey eyes blinked as the Bright One sauntered over; it was the only human aspect left to his face, and his guts twisted at the idea of looking in the mirror one day to see lifeless marble. He wasn't sure why he was thinking that as his attention was stuck on the black reflecting pools of the Moth. They were pretty.
"Yep, that's me," he said, a little unsure. This was a lot of attention all of the sudden, and he wasn't on a stage. Usually people only fawned over him after a performance; it was flattering that this didn't seem to come with any expectations. He brightened at the question, "You seemed really passionate! I'm sure Niel would want to talk to you at some point, or anyone, really," he laughed, tucking his hair. Riley would have recognized the name as Sir Nimbus' human identity. "You must be super popular."
If Riley pushed, he would go into details about talking shop, surprisingly educated on the nuances of dance theory, though his affect was casual, if a bit shallow; like it was drilled into his head, rather than a natural knack for academics of any kind. He smiled politely and greeted Archie, if a little more reserved than how he hovered closely to the other two.
"Sure! I'll get the next round, though."

"D'orsay."
She offered her hand then. "Ruby D'orsay." Connecting name and form to the softness of her skin and the delicateness of her touch. The early dawn dappling onto a waking world. The presence of the Springs would have annoyed her if these were different circumstances. This wasn't a race to see who could take him out of this building on their arm. She was beginning to think that she may have rushed this a little bit, that they would have appreciated the assist if she had asked rather than told.
How could she? She was thinking with her heart, not her mind. She was a mix of emotions at the moment. In one part, she wanted nothing more than to destroy him. On another, she longed to watch him work. Can't I have both...?
"Thurman White. It's in Henderson, but a number of my students are from Whitney. It's not much of a distinction, but they wear it like a badge of honor. Tough place to live. But we all come from somewhere."
There was their assist. She would get him to care. And they would get him to fulfill his oath.

"Why thank you!" She says with a bright smile at the complement provided by Carr. "Another Round than, Very Kind."
Glancing to Ruby Dorsay, talking about her dance teaching in Whitney. "A badge of honor indeed, I reckon that must be a source of pride. I never had the patience for teaching myself, but it is a noble endeavor. I Wouldn't be here without the teachers who guided me. Let's grab a seat"
Riley smiles towards Hartman, taking his recommendation for a table before helping guide Micthcel Carr over alongside Ruby with Archie.
"I got distracted Mr. Hartman, where were we? "

What was this fangirls play? Either way he was more than ready to remove her from the conversation as she wasn’t adding much more than a distraction and already seemed to be making things more difficult. First chance he saw to brush her aside it was likely worth taking it. No point in making a difficult job more problematic.
“I think we were just talking about the intensity, and how you can relate now that you have managed to make inroads into the industry yourself, weren’t we? You see Mitch - can I call you Mitch? - Riley here is looking at following her dreams and in talks to perform with a fairly significant troupe.”
He pulled out his phone and opened the digital app as they reached a table.
“What will it be Mitch? Riley?”
Exclusion was a weapon. Once they had a glance at the menu he would pop the order into the bars app and use the NFC at the table to deliver the order electronically.

"Oh! The high school! You know Isla, probably," he blinked as he took her hand. As she spoke about Whitney he seemed surprised, but didn't comment on it. "Where are you from, Ruby...?" As the Bright One led them towards a table he just seemed along for the ride, if a little dazed. The school teacher, as gorgeous as she was, was quickly getting shuffled to the background with the combined magic of Riley's Token and Archie's aggressive social maneuvering. "You're not super familiar, Riley. Did you grow up in Nevada?" He seemed to be searching for a common thread, as Riley answered though, the red of the stage reflected off of his skin and drew his attention. The Dancer made positive sounds to whatever was thrown his way, but he was clearly distracted for the moment. At Archie pushing the menu towards him, he was brought back to the current group, blearily glancing over the electronic. "Hah- sorry, umm..." He taps one of the non alcoholic drinks, not making a big show of it.
