Riley had slipped back after providing their suggestion. Before taking in the events that transpired after. Oren leaping in to speak over Archie, with the suggestion of digging graves. It was Sedna's laugh that broke the darklings tensions, her reaction was enough it seemed to defuse even Chugunkin.
The Bright One glanced over at Ivory, who had been silent during these events. The mention of the Whitney construction Project brought the Moths' attention back to the Knight of Coins And Searce. As he laid out his assignment to Archie, and the group at large.
Mitchell Carr? Did that ring a bell?

Ivory remained where she had been, still seated and thoroughly enjoying her cocktail. As the scene continued to unfold, Ivory's gaze fell upon it more frequently as conversation elsewhere in the group seemed to grind to a halt while Archie's blunder was seen to in a more direct fashion.
So this is the perk of being a wallflower...
The thought rang as she observed from the comfort of her perch, remaining quite content to stay uninvolved in the scenario - and unassociated with the offender. Vacantly, the gilded eyes even searched elsewhere for a member of the serving staff, hoping to get another delight from the bar as her current treat was beginning to run low. After all, if she was to see a reprimand or a death tonight, she'd prefer to be at least a little numb, as she doubted either would be pleasant if things took a turn for the worst for the Chatelaine.
Nonetheless, Ivory never got the chance to order another, the sound of her own voice drawing her gaze back to the group as she beheld the newcomer. His words earned two blinks from the Fairest, her face easily relaying her relative confusion at his contribution. Had someone asked for his import or was this yet another figure sticking out their neck to save Archie's skin?
Still, perhaps the Pale Dragon could give the little man some credit. Archie seemed to understand the need to quiet himself and temper his words. He was brief and relatively concise, as had been demanded of him. However, all of this paled in comparison to the showing of the Beast called Agrippa, who painted themself as a picture of dutiful compliance, their motions and body language encouraging the course Ivory was already intent on doing. Their nature and instinct was quite impressive to the Pale Dragon. And noted.
Naturally, Ivory agreed the show was Chugunkin's and, for now, the Knight of Coin would be the defining key to how the rest of them danced. Momentary compliance could save Archie's life and even the regal dragon was willing to let Chugunkin have his moment without interruption.
Then Chugunkin finally spoke. At first his goal seemed... less than amicable, but as the Russian explained his desire not to forcibly displace others - and acknowledged a few hard facts. Whether he did it or another company did it, gentrification was coming to Whitney and prices were due to increase. While the Pale Dragon doubted Chugunkin's aim was entirely altruistic, the fact remained that he was abiding by the nature of Spring to convince these people to depart as a means of preventing future pain. What's more is his words confirmed what many among them seemed to believe. The Knight of Coin was willing to let the matter slide and tasked Archie with a favor of service.
Of particular note was the fact that Chugunkin was not asking. How would Archie respond?
At the mention of a figure granting him trouble, Ivory searched her mine in an attempt to place a face.

Mitch, sounded like a decent enough name. Here was hoping this wasn’t some rough and tumble biker ogre or something.
“Well, I will see what I can do about that then - hopefully help him see the light.”
Try your best Arch man, that was the best that you could say. Don’t make promises that you can’t keep, but don’t make it sound like your effort is not going to be placed into this.
“So where can we find this Mitch character? And any particular skills you believe that he brings to this endeavor?”
May as well ask questions, it wasn’t illegal.

Agrippa almost certainly wasn't the reason the tone had taken a sudden turn for the better, and somewhere deep down they knew that. But they weren't going to let that pesky little truth stop them from indulging in the confidence born of self satisfaction. They relaxed slightly in their seat and, while keeping one ear trained on the reigning conversation of the hour, leaned over to Riley
"I didn't know you too were up-and-coming. Certainly interesting. I wonder if there's benefit to rising tides?"
Their voice was barely a whisper- they certainly didn't want to interrupt Chugunkin, and they kept their eyes trained on him to make it clear where their primary attentions supposedly still were.

Why would Chugunkin want Mitch Carr Involved? The bishop was harmless and Riley couldn't figure why his skills would be useful here. Then again, the gathering here was by no means traditional. More so with this stranger with a hardened mask.
It was at this moment that Agrippa had leaned in and spoken to Riley. The moths ADHD brain took a solid moment to comprehend the words said but failed to get their meaning. Riley raised an eyebrow glancing at Agrippa. They figured he was trying to get something across and they didn't want to draw attention to the effort. Instead, they gave a nice smile.
"Sorry, I missed that. Spaced out, was lost in my thoughts" They gestured above their head in a whimsical flick of their fingers.
"What was that darlin'?"

A slight smile hit the Pale Dragon's lips as Chugunkin spoke of a lack of understanding as to why Mitchell Carr had some hesitance in dealing with him. One held a position in the underworld. The other taught children to dance for a living. Teaching children = familiarity with the community. To the Pale Dragon, Mitchell Carr's hesitance was likely born from a suspicion that Chugunkin's position was less than altruistic. And it was, from the outset, even if Chugunkin's concerns that housing would later be a concern were, in fact, true.
As Archie requested information, Ivory offered nothing. Instead the Pale Dragon chose to quietly order another cosmopolitan after she finally caught the attention of the server staff.

Chugunkin gestures to the crush of dancers, "Here."
At the question of the man's skills, he gave a grumbling laugh into his drink, "He sure does talk a lot, doesn't he? A very nice man to help you with the locals. Not an ounce of suspicion to be found with that one. You could be caught pick-pocketing, and he would probably just give you the money and apologize for the inconvenience."
His attention briefly flicked to Agrippa and Riley, before wandering back to Ivory. "Did you want the address of the city block?" he prompted the Pale Dragon.
"I don't know your face," he said to Pendragon, a little impatient. The Mantle Sedna had referred to was sealed, and if he was here to just be her toy, she could take it elsewhere. Spies irritated him. The Selkie at least had the respect to be obvious when she was checking in on his projects, and even brought the drinks.

"Does the novelty make you uncomfortable?"
If Sedna wished to be playful, he wouldn't object. No one could say that he was incapable of multitasking. A part of him itched to put on some(one)thing more languorous. A satrap in bronze and satin. He thought better.
"I wouldn't call it my Sunday Best, but it gets the job done."
The Mirror offered his hand, but not before tugging on his shirt-sleeve and showing the bare of his wrist and arm. Oren saw that in a movie once. No knives up his sleeve, or aces for that matter. He kept those under the tongue.
He turned to Archie.
"I can get you Carr. Call it a mutual interest."

Well let’s call that a red flag and a half. Who was Mitch and why did it sound like ol’ Angel Eyes was after him here? Well that would be a question best saved for the car ride after, now wasn’t it? Meanwhile the Fairest had had his fill of the spotlight and in this down moment would let others share the moment. Ivory had been asked a question, and others had kind of just sat through it. This was their moment if they wanted something on the table more or less. He would wait to see how they handled their own negotiations. He glanced down the line of Spring’s with the muted screech of a man behind him.
Any takers? Anyone?

Agrippa stalled for a second or so- the effort of trying to sus out whether Riley had understood them or not finally forcing their eyes off of the Spring Knight. Their expression fell microscopically upon deciding that the Moth either likely hadn't, or at the very least had nothing further to contribute. It wasn't the end of the world- they would tell them later. For now, the beast simply shook their head, gave a dismissive wave, and smiled as though the thing that Riley had missed had been nothing more than a stupid inside joke.
"Oh. Its nothing."
Their focus then darted to Sedna. There was an opportunity here- something they could or should do about her interest... but god only knew what that was. They were in the middle of deliberating whether they should do nothing and play it safe, when they realized their mouth had already taken executive control.
"If you're interested-"
A hand snaked into one of the pockets in their blazer, retrieving a small notebook and pen. They flipped it open to a blank page and scrawled an email onto it in impossibly neat script.
"This is my work contact. Feel free to spread it around."
They tore the page off and slid it over to her with hopeful eyes and an earnest smile. Of course it wasn't a thing she actually needed- Sedna could easily get into contact with Agrippa regardless if they gave her any address to go by, and they both knew it. This was not a practical offer, but a social one: Go ahead. I see that you're interested in my career. Show me why. Was it a good idea? Probably not, but history was seldom made by those unwilling to take risks.

Ivory had only just gotten her drink when Chugunkin had asked her a question openly. GodfuckingdammitThe cordial mask of the Pale Dragon cracked as her golden eyes fell upon Archie himself. Despite her attempts to appear otherwise, she was clearly displeased that she was being tagged by the knight to assist the Chatelaine. Their earlier interactions had been... less than pleasant. The look softened for the knight himself, however. Chugunkin was not the source of her contempt. "If you believe I can be of assistance, I shall do so, Sir Chugunkin," Ivory offered, accepting her fate. The Knight of Coin actually laughed, "What is the problem, Ivory? I thought you were sitting here because you wished to learn what I was seeking and assist the Court." He offered the faded card with a property management company, denoting the block in Whitney and a potential starting point to canvas the neighbourhood from a clerical standpoint. The office itself was situated central to where the land was being purchased and likely had a chunk of the population's slum lords on file as clients. He stares at Pendragon as he offers his assistance,
"If they wish to take it, they can. I do not know how to accept help from someone with no name or association. You might as well not exist." He assumed that was the intent, though it did nothing for the man's career. The more suspicious he was, the more he would be watched for the motives of his involvement. Simple.
Sedna took Agrippa's paper, smirking as she tucked it into the recess of her shadowy Hedgespun dress.
