"Everyone needs a night where they can breath and just...be."
Lucas responds in agreement with the other Lost's sentiment. The Fairest didn't make any effort to conceal that he was impressed by the way she commanded the attention of the staff and both of their drinks were filled up seconds later.
"To new beginnings." He raised his shot as well and downed it in one go. Between his drink from earlier and the shot, he was feeling the effects of the alcohol. Fortunately, he had paced himself earlier on and had plenty to eat, so while he was feeling like he was floating, his mind was still in the game. No one liked a sloppy drunk, especially someone who had a regal bearing such as the woman in front of him. His gaze wandered over her body for a moment, the look in his eyes suggesting the way she commanded the staff wasn't the only part of her he was impressed by.
The mischievous smile she displayed gave him some ideas. Between the muttering of "fuck it" and pointing out that she was one of the only hosts without a blue band, he was left with the impression that she needed a release. But first, she was in need of a little nudge to help her get there and he could be that very nudge. Lucas ran his tongue over his lower lip, licking off a loose droplet of alcohol but also using the opportunity to draw attention to his lips.
"Thank you for the drink. You'll have to let me be of service to you in other ways since it looks like you've got the flow of alcohol under control."
His lips then stretched into a playful smile and his own bright blue eyes lit up with mischief. He had yet to properly introduce himself and it was entirely possible that he was delaying the introduction on purpose to keep some mystery between the two of them and play into the energy that was surrounding them.

Ivory smiled, accepting the cheers and drinking the shot alongside the Winter. Her mind, likewise, was buzzed, but really that just meant the headstrongness and amused nature of the Dragon was becoming more forthright. She was intrigued by the man.
Ivory's eyes dipped lightly to his lips as he spoke, her coy smile briefly widening by just a touch as he afforded his flirt and moved his tongue.
"You want to be of service?" she asked, her gaze flicking back to the grey man's own as her smile broadened enough for her fangs to glisten in the blacklight and neon of the venue, "Or do you want a challenge? I'm gonna guess... the latter."
Eyebrows raised as she moved her Cosmopolitan to her lips, awaiting the man's response.

Decisions. Decisions.
Lucas considered his answer, while looking into the other Lost's golden eyes. Between the fanged smile and the potency of her mantle compared to his own, there was a part of him that briefly wondered if he was getting in over his head. Even if he was, he was enjoying himself and that was a rare treat during the Spring Coronations. The last one he attended...yeah, he wasn't even going to let his mind go back down memory lane.
"I am in turn going to guess that with you, the latter option is the only option." He chuckled good naturedly and winked at her.
By now, the dance floor was in full swing and the music reminded him of something he would hear at the nightclubs he used to attend in his youth. His mood had also improved and the mood to dance was returning to him. The last shot did an excellent job of washing away any reservations he had about taking some risks. As much fun as it was to banter back and forth with someone new and engaging, the idea of them being up close and personal on the dance floor appealed to him even more.
"I enjoy a good challenge and someone who can keep me on my toes both figuratively and literally."
Lucas rose to his feet, extending a hand out to Ivory.
"Think you can keep up with me on the dance floor?" The smile on his face shifted to an impish grin as he watched the Spring courtesan to see if she took him up on his challenge or not.

Extending his hand like a gentleman, a little good-natured sparring... All reminiscent of another time. Another place...
It's time.
The thought may have been in her own voice, but the methodology of it all felt to be of Pendragon.
What was the point of living if Ivory stayed in her own little bubble with Anthony? Living was not the same as life and Ivory had to give herself the chance to experience. This night didn't need to lead to anything. It was a night of release and there was a certain comfort in that.
The mischevious look waned for a moment, her gaze resting on Lucas for a moment, a hidden warmth visible through coquettish features before Ivory finally accepts, sliding a hand of pale, ivory scales and gray flesh into the man's own at his offering.
"You might just stand a chance, lover boy," she teased, her tone good natured and pleased as she answered the Lucas' wink with one of her own.
Rising to her feet, the Pale Dragon would place herself inches from the Winter's form, golden eyes beholding his gray countenance.
"Shall we?"

Despite the warmth of the desert air and so many bodies packed into one place, Lucas's hand was cool to the touch. His eyes rested on the Spring courtesan with an inquisitive look, having caught warmth that briefly flashed across her face. While he was still grinning, there was a small shift in his own body language. He looked more relaxed and his hold on her hand was gentle one.
"We shall."
With her hand in his, he lead the way onto the packed dance floor. With some weaving here and there, he managed to find the two of them a small spot where they could actually dance with each other and not immediately bumped into someone else in the crowd. The song transitioned over to a higher energy song that seemed to be targeted at all of the couples of the crowd. As the song "Ritual" By Tiesto, Jones Blue, and Rita Ora came up, there was a fair amount of shuffling that occurred on the dance floor. Several individuals who had been dancing by themselves left while several couples made their way onto the dance floor.
Lucas kept his gentlemanly demeanor about him. Just because someone was wearing a green bracelet, that did not mean it was okay to get handsy in more intimate areas. Instead, he rested one hand on her waist to draw her in closer to him but he let her decide if she wanted to be pressed against him or if she wanted to keep some distance between the two of them. Either way, he moved along in rhythm to the music while using their new positions to get a better look at her. Before he decided to crank up his performance, which he had been thinking of doing to try and impress her, he wanted to get a better read from the other Fairest to see what it was she needed out of this evening.
"Yourself and the rest of the hosts did a great job of putting everything together. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves, I know I certainly am."

A grin danced upon the dragon's face, her countenance glad as Lucas led her to the dance floor. Pleasant laughter sounded as the pair began to dance with one another, even as the golden gaze rested on the pleasant Winter Courtier.
"I'm happy to hear it," the Pale Dragon said, nearly shouting as the music began to build, "That's what tonight's all about, right? Accepting the past we cannot change and welcoming the glorious renewal to come."
The Pale Dragon's voice waxed to near-prophetic as she mused over the latter statement, evidencing her growing ties to her season.
The Spring Fairest's dim halo pulsed lively at the statement, as Ivory found her mind aligned with her season. Pleasant feelings of anticipation filled the air and the expression of the Pale Dragon absolutely beamed, her countenance nigh glowing at Lucas' complement. Ivory provided no resistance as Lucas sought to pull her closer, her arms traveling upward and resting upon the man's shoulders, should he allow it, fingers dancing in his hair and upon his neck as they moved with the music.
As Ivory followed Lucas, the warmth bleeding into the Fairest's expression betrayed that his actions were reminding her of pleasant memories from the past. Ivory was a known widower, her late-husband having been a member of the US Congress, but the warmth was not born from solemn moods. Clearly, Ivory was enjoying herself.
"Ivory" the Fairest provided, finally introducing herself.

Lucas reflected on her words, thinking about how long this winter was and how he never really left it. No matter how the seasons came and went, he would always find himself rooted there. The ever present nagging of how that made him different than all of the other courtesans was starting to creep into his consciousness. Before it took root, he forced the thoughts out of his head. Not tonight. Tonight was the one night that everyone got to let go of their hang ups and hold onto the promise of something better.
The Winter Fairest welcomed her fingers in her hair, the sensation helped draw him out of his thoughts and saving his mood from dipping again. He closed his eyes over, relaxing his muscles enough that his head tilted in whatever direction her fingers moved. When he opened up his eyes again, he looked into her deep, golden eyes. It was easy for him to lose himself in brightness of her eyes as they lit up from the compliment he paid her, as well as the warmth that surrounded her. Ivory's pleasantness was an equally pleasant contrast from the usual company that he kept.
"You're right. It was a long winter. Everything has to come to an end so something new can begin." He smiled at her when she shared her name with him. "I'm Lucas."
He leaned in closer to her so that he could hear her better, not that there was much space between the two of them any more. His hands were on her waist and their bodies were pressed against each other. Maybe for one night he could allow himself to truly let go and enjoy the moment because the moment the two of them were sharing was pumping as much energy into his system as the music was. One of his hands traveled from her waist, up her side, and then it came to rest on her cheek. His finger tips gently stroked her skin, allowing him to feel her smooth, Ivory scales. While he didn't lean in to kiss her just yet, the look in his eyes matched the look someone usually had right before they went in for a kiss.
"What new beginnings are you looking for tonight?"

The smile tugged slightly wider as the Winter before her seemed receptive to the night's purpose. It was good for him too.
"They do," she said of the inevitability of the end. Standing on her toes to raise her lips closer to the man's ear, the Pale Dragon whispered. "And when mourning ends, exultation begins."
Lowering herself again, Ivory gave a slight, visible shiver as Lucas raised one of his cold hands along her side. However, as it settled on the scales of her cheek, the Fairest seemed to adjust to its icy touch. Ivory's countenance waxed to an almost mysterious expression as Lucas asked his question, remaining silent for a few long moments.
"The beginning hasn't come," she answers, "And tonight I just plan on celebrating the dawn. Planning's for tomorrow. After the seeds are planted... and probably an Advil."
Did Ivory have plans for the future? Absolutely. Naturally, she had brought what she needed to see to the ritual's tradition for when the sun began to rise. Still, dashing as he was, Ivory did not know Lucas and, perhaps more so, she was more focused on her pursuit of more immediate desire rather than the discussion of aspirations to come.
One of Ivory's hands would leave it's place in Lucas' hair, pale fingers tracing down his jaw and neck before the hand came to rest on his chest. She noted the look in the Winter's eyes and slipped closer, her face merely inches from his as she felt the feelings of anticipation within the moment. The Pale Dragon did not move her head any closer, such a thing would admit defeat and the playful pride within her would not allow it. Lucas had come to her, after all. If the roles were reversed, Ivory knew the ball would be in her court to gain his interest.
Convince me you are worth my time.
She didn't dare utter the thought aloud, of course. Many could construe it as something negative, but for Ivory it seemed to be a part of the dance the pair had begun the moment Lucas showed his interest. The Pale Dragon was content to see how the game would evolve.

A surge of electricity ran through him when the Dragon whispered into his ear. For once, Lucas didn't feel like he was sleep walking through Ostara or just about any of the other large scale events the freehold hosted. His eyes were bright and alert as they continued to look into Ivory's eyes.
When the other Fairest joked about needing Advil, Lucas let out a genuine, amused chuckle. For a moment, his features lit up in a way that suggested if he his life as a Lost had lead him towards a different court, he would carry a lot of warmth in him rather than the residual sadness that seemed to plague most Winter courtesans. The smile remained on his face while she leaned in closer to him and then stopped. The look was not a foreign one to Lucas nor was the back and forth tug. However, it had been quite some time since he had found himself genuinely intrigued the way he was with the other Lost who he was holding with one arm. His hand remained on his face while he considered her words and what that meant for the rest of the evening if they continued with their game.
Could he let go of his own mourning and embrace the idea of exultation? Tonight, the answer was yes.
"Then here's to you and I, to all those who are also here to celebrate, and to whatever the night brings us."
The Winter Fairest used his hand that was on her face to close the distance between the two of them. If she pulled away, he would let go and continue with their dance. If she followed his lead, then he would envelope her lips in his own. Unlike others he had encountered recently, Lucas suspected that Ivory would appreciate the intensity that he could exude through his presence. When he kissed her, all of his attention was focused on her. The music, lights, and the rest of the crowd disappeared from his mind until there was only the two of them. The kiss started off as a slow burn as the two of them figured out a new rhythm with each other and how their bodies fit together. Then when they found that comfortable spot, the slow burn picked up speed until his desire properly ignited.

Dani raises an eyebrow at the fact that Rowan had texted Riley, but she doesn't ask, just shakes her head a little chortling some. Maybe he was just reiterating the same thing. Either way, it was between them. That and once more, she was trying not to be clingy. No clingy. She wants her friendship with Rowan to survive so... Yes.
Fire walks across the room to the bar, Riley's hand in hers. She gives their hand a bit of a squeeze, a stupid smile on her face. Honestly, aside from Rowan's weird texting, she was feeling good. Things were going to be awesome and she could just let loose. It would also be nice to see Ivory again in a non-stressful environment. Hopefully.
As they approach the bar, she takes a look around to get a better look at where she'd seen Ivory before, when she realizes that the Dragon is macking on some blonde dude. An attractive blonde dude. Is it kinda foggy over here? Cool. Cool. Uh. Awk though. Is this what Rowan felt walking in on-? Nah, it was worse for Rowan because we were actually friends. Unless, I guess it could be weird for Riley? No, Spring.
She gives a look to Riley as they walk up, "Should we... we should probably give them a moment... uh... driiinks?"

Riley moved through the crowd of Lost, following along with Fire bringers hand entwined with their own. Tonight was already strange. At a party, Riley would expect themself to be fluttering around from one cute face to another. But not tonight. Before Riley would have founded it suffocating, trapped. Which is why it came as a surprise for Riley when they noticed that wasn't the case tonight.
Riley squeezed Firebringer's hand back as the gesture pulls them back from their internal thoughts. They glance over to their beautiful companion with that goofy smile on her face and gave her a playful wink. Noticing Dani saw something ,Riley turned to get a look at what was spotted over their shoulder.
They glanced out to the dance floor not far from the bar. Ivory Looking stunning in iridescent skirt and top and brightly covered paint. Right paint, Riley shouldn't forget that by night's end. The distraction of Ivory's looks delayed the Moth from noticing the person with her. Who was that with her on the dance floor? Then, they recognized the Mantle and the blonde hair. There was no mistaking that was Lucas.
You have got to be kiddin' me. What hole did he crawl out of? He shows up tonight of all nights? With Ivory? Ugh, she can do so much better than that.
Riley turned to Fire and gave her a smile. If they knew the man holding Ivory, it wasn't apparent from their face. The Moth wasn't going to provide that sniffling dickweasle the time of day.
" Yeah, drink sounds great."
Riley moved toward the bar with Dani, waving the bartender and putting an order in for a Bee's Knees.

When the residual despair left Lucas' features, the Pale Dragon beamed, succeeding in some small way of eliminating the feeling in the wake of one of Spring's most sacred days. It felt like a victory, a rare moment of passion between High and Low, even if the reminder of Buck's own foray with a Winter itched in the back of her mind.
Nonetheless, Ivory could appreciate the intensity of the moment, allowing Lucas to draw her in as their lips meant. Both of the dragon's warm, pale hands found themselves planted on the Winter's cheeks as they worked. The passion was exquisite and more than a little flattering as the pair allowed the moment to bloom brighter. If Lucas had not been among the Lost and the locale had been different, Ivory was confident she would have been able to glut herself on the Desire he exuded, but that could not happen.
Ivory would afford Lucas some moments of his crescendo before a familiar glow hit her periphery. Riley and Firebringer had come to say hello. Waning the kiss to smaller, gentler motions, the Pale Dragon would soon end it gently pulling away for a moment before she looked up to him.
"Whoa," she offered, "I'm gotta go say hello to some friends."
So one of them can admit I was right.
"But I'll be around," she continued, "I'd say you're well on your way to enjoying yourself. Maybe I'll find you later if someone else doesn't capture your fancy."
It wasn't a promise. Lucas was not the only figure Ivory felt pulled to, but, for the moment, he had her interest.
With that, though, Ivory slipped away, moving towards the bar with a broad smile to Riley and Dani, her arms spreading to bring them into a tight group hug if they were willing.
"Hey!"

For one magical moment in time, Lucas could truthfully say he was having a good ol' time in Ostara. The music playing was on point, he had a good buzz going, and he just had one hell of a kiss. The Winter Fairest couldn't help but grin broadly when Ivory responded to their kiss with a "woah". Regardless of how the evening played out, he was feeling pretty good about having made an impression on the Spring Fairest.
"Sure thing." When she mentioned the arrival of her friends, his hold on her loosened but he didn't let go of her just yet.
"I have a good feeling our paths are going to cross again before the evening is over." Ivory was right with her assessment of Lucas liking a challenge because he did. It was rare that he found a partner to play this kind of game with who was this engaging. Even if their paths did not end up crossing again by the time dawn rolled around, everything leading up to this point had been fun. His expectations for the evening had already been exceeded.
Up until that point, Lucas had been blissfully unaware of the dark storm cloud that had rolled in behind him. He let go of Ivory when she slipped out of his arms and turned around to see who her friends were. That's when he saw the storm cloud in all of it's unabashed, glowing glory.
You have got to be kidding me.
Lucas's thoughts almost mirrored Riley's with one exception; he was suddenly relieved that he got a ride to Ostara rather than drive there. Otherwise, it wouldn't surprise him if he came out and found his tires slashed. After their breakup, Riley had developed a penchant for slashing his tires among other spiteful acts of petty vengeance.
The plus side was that if he wanted to bail and find someone else to distract him for the evening, Ivory had offered him the perfect opportunity to do so and save face. The question was, was that what he wanted? Did he really want to set the precedent for himself that the moment Riley showed up, he took off running with his tail between his legs? Such an individual certainly wasn't worthy of pursuing a dragon.
He smirked, entertaining himself with the thought that he was bound to come across a foul monster or two on his quest to a woo a dragon.
For the time being, Lucas left the dance floor and exited the bar area. While he planned to return, he needed to find a social palette cleanser to get rid of the salt from his system.

Fire orders herself a whiskey sour and sways excitedly, feeding off of the good vibes. When Ivory stops mackin' on blondie and walks over, Fire shoots them a bit of a grin. She doesn't really pay attention to the blonde leaving the bar, other than noting that they've left.
"Ivoryyyyy!" She gives her a squeeze when she goes in for the hug, "You look fantastic! Also, long time no talk. How've been doing?"
Her heart is beating weirdly fast, but not in the romantic 'heart skipping a beat' kind of way. It is more in that nervous, not sure what is going to happen kind of way. Is that what tonight is going to feel like? Is it anxiety about actually going around with a partner? No, no, shake it off. Things are gonna be great. Things are great.
When they all pull back, Dani picks up her drink and takes a good steeling sip, briefly gazing at Riley for a moment before looking back to Ivory. Oh, maybe the weird feeling is standing together at the bar like we did back in Autumn when we first met. ...so much has changed since then. Only nearly died a few times since then. Shrug right?

Riley lets out a sound best described as a squawk as they are pulled into a hug with Ivory and Fire. The twilight dance beams a smile before adding on to what Dani said. "You are looking stunning, Ivory."
Collecting their drink from the bar, giving an appreciative sip. Before the Moth turned back to Firebringer for a moment, nudging her playfully before looking back to the Dragon Pale.
"Ivory has no small part to play in us being here tonight," Riley said, saluting their drink to Ivory.
"She gave me some good advice when it came to you," The bright one said, looking to Dani; there was a sparkle in the back eyes of the Moth. They had a particular look on their face as they gazed upon their date, that made it abundantly clear they adored her.
"So Ivory, I see you have jumped right into the spirit of the evening" They raise an eyebrow playfully, their gauntlet taps the side of their drinks glass.
"Lucas, huh?"
