There lies a small, abandoned building in Las Vegas. There are several, of course, but this one in particular is noteworthy- because on some days, the doors open. And those who wish can gleam their future.
The building once belonged to a Bail Bond agency, as an old sign above the door said. Frosted windows could be seen behind boards and metal grates. The door was heavy, locked tight. Yet if an individual with something worthy to offer and the strings of fate coiled around them were to try the handle... it would open right up.
Inside is what one would envision an abandoned working space. Random furniture left around, the gathering of dust, old cubicles, some papers on the floor advertising services or telling old news. In the back lies a main office with a faint violet glow emanating- not enough to see the inside, but like an angler fish it would draw one closer.
And the space itself, should one walk in, was dressed in heavy dark cloths that hung all around- giving the impression of a tent almost. In the center was a low table, and on the visitor's side a large pillow mat. An orb hung above, giving off the purple glow. Incense of some sort burned faintly, the room coated in the slight smell of Oak.
Finally, on the other end of the table, only truly visible once one had fully entered the 'tent,' stood a figure of average height with a human build. Their clothing was elegant and a bit flamboyant, but suited the mental image of a fortune teller.... All save for their face, which took the guise of a large white... Almost fishlike appearance. it was unclear whether it was a mask or their actual guise, as any words they spoke seemed unbroken and undisturbed- yet their face never moved.
If you were to walk in... They would greet you, always the same way, declaring their name even if you had seem them before, in a voice that was largely androgynous.
"Salutations- I am Fortuna's Voice. Do you come in service of our Lady, to see what she has in store for you?"
If they had another title or an official name, they did not give it openly. They referred to themselves, always, as Fortuna's Voice.
