Victor grinned at the Winter, nodding enthusiastically as he shuffled past a couple in his path towards her
"And you!"
Likewise to her, he meant it- if nothing else, she represented a path forward. There was a pause as he waited to close the gap before answering her next questions
"Read me like an open book, why don't you!"
The chimera chuckled, just boisterously enough to be heard over the din
"Yeah, you got it right. Didn't miss him, now did I? Got here as fast as I could on short notice..."
He threw a worried glance behind himself, though obviously without recognizing the man he wished to meet, it wouldn't do him any good.

There was a noticeable difference in how the Chimera and the Ifrit behaved and spoke, his boisterious manner contrasting with her much more muted and terse words and gestures. Still, there was a smile on her face. Blaze might not be much fun to be around herself, but she appreciates people who are.
"No, he's still here. Mr. Yuan is out wheeling and dealing, I believe, but we can go find our contact."
She starts to lead Victor towards the spot when she last saw Talos. If he's not there, she'll start tracking him down - asking his motley or, failing that, just looking for the guy. He'll stand out in the crowd.
"I just have to warn you. His prices are steep, although reasonable considering the service. And he won't speak to you - not out of disrespect, he was simply deprived of the gift of voice."

"You got that right- he barely stopped long enough to point me to you!"
Victor shook his head, though the smile never quite left his face. Having little else to offer the search, he dutifully followed behind the Ifrit, taking her status report in stride.
"Ah, I won't be able to pay out of pocket, I'm self-aware enough of that. Still need to see the prices anyhow. Besides, in my business, the guy just sounds like a good acquaintance to have. No point waiting to introduce myself."

The metallic Elemental cocked an eyebrow at Blaze's second approach, and the deja vu caused some genuine mirth as lightning boiled through the grill of his mask and the sockets of his eyes with the dry static of a chuckle. Rather than retyping the whole thing, he just restored the note he had flashed to Yuan while signing to Cailleagh as she was finishing up one of her numbers on a crate and plywood stage, who returned the message while casually hefting her ax. He tapped for Blaze's attention, typing that she was good for business with some mirth to his eyes, asking what sort of work she was actually wanting to do with the Freehold—if any. He then extended the same question to Victor, mentioning in a new typed sentence that his description rang a bell and if he worked with Roger or Fawkes.

Returning to the main thoroughfare from a secluded pocket in the veritable warren of industrial spaces, Gavin was walking with Nate, seemingly on a mission. The Beast was physically alright, but wore a harrowed countenance that betrayed his private business. The piercing intense orange pair of avian eyes all were familiar with were matched no more. Though they both remained avian, one was quite distinctly a very even and bright yellow. It was an eye that belonged among the branches of trees. The lid around the eye and the whole area had flushed red and swollen. The pair worked their way to a bartender, where he ordered the pair a set of drinks, despite Henley insisting it wasn't necessary.
"I have to start thanking you somehow, yeah?" He took the first shot straight up. It was a decent medicine for forgetting a recent memory.
Tapping the bar and mouthing 'another' to the barkeep who had moved on to another order down the line.
"You helped with the negotiating and probably saved me from paying too too much." It was a fact. "And. Friend. You stuck around. You know, for the hard part. I wasn't alone for that horror-show." The man was practically glowing with gratitude to the point of being almost overbearing.
The Ogre would have to stop him.

It was a rare enough thing to see a ranking Winter courtier be genuinely mirthful (Blaze knew that from her own experience, and she wasn't even 'ranking'), so the Elemental seizes the opportunity and smiles back. So when Talos asks Victor and her how they see themselves aiding the freehold, the Ifrit sees no point in hiding her talents and interests from either the Chimera or the metal Elemental.
"I have years of combat experience." She says matter-of-factly like one would speak of the sky being self evidently blue "I'm also good at reading people and their dreams, as well as keeping my own cool - as any Onyx should be. And brushing up on theory." It remains not elaborated on what 'theory' actually means in this context, although surely both men could make solid guesses.
"It'd be my honor if I could be of help to Las Vegas in any of these areas... or anywhere else I am needed. In every clime and place."

Henley didn't say no in the end. When a drink got put down before you, you drank it. The stock broker knew his way around a cup. As the first shot went down, he followed and let out a long, low sigh as he nodded for the second along with the Razorhand.
"Of course. You did what nobody else was doing. Reconnected us back to the Market."
He gestured to the gathering, as if to make the point more clear. The world around them was buzzing with possibility.
"It was the least I could do to thank you for the service you did for us all. And if you know who helped? I'd like to meet them and thank them, too."

Gavin was taken aback at the return in gratitude. It was no longer a reflexive thing to him to expect a grateful response to something he had done. The sun bleached bones of an arid wasteland were his only friends for quite some time. Returning, eyes always turned to his hands and then naturally toward fear. Much of his efforts were to make some room for himself with the other Lost, by helping around with this and that. If he did enough good for them maybe they'd continue to tolerate him. With that, maybe he'd stay sane. It was a sad, lonely lot the Beast had all but accepted for himself.
"Here you are trying to get me teary. Just had eye surgery you know," he deflected the vulnerable moment with humour.
"Reckon you are already familiar with After Party. Riley and Archie, they were along on that effort too, yeah."
Scanning the area for the colours and outline that might jump out at him as the Maker, he tried to spot her among the crowd, if she were here. It was a strain for him with his recent encounter with the Dollmaker and he couldn't keep up the effort for long.
"Hmm, right. I don't see the other one. Wayland. Thought she'd be all about this place. Plenty of odds and sods for her tinkering to be had around here." He turned back to the Ogre.
"You seem quite comfortable in this mire and lurk. Bit of a hobby, yeah?"

Victor nodded thoughtfully at the text on the screen- as predicted, he wasn't able to afford any but the cheapest option. Not preferring to lead with disappointment, he was glad for Talos' curiosity
"Ring a bell? Looks like the promotion I've been doing might be paying off after all!"
It was unclear exactly who he was speaking to, as the Chimera's eyes were still on the screen as he first spoke up. They darted up to Talos immediately after, breaking the ambiguity for the answer to follow
"Well, my portfolio is real simple. I clean up other people's messes. Mostly crime scene cleanup, but I can deal with most anything where you don't want mundane civilians to be walking in on something they'll regret laying eyes on. Its what I need that for, to be honest."
He gestured loosely to the previous text, dealing with the false ID
"Last one I had was a good one, but it crashed and burned. Literally. No chance to salvage it. I can still manage the job with the barebones one I still got, but its a setback to be sure."
The whole sentence had the tone of a beleaguered sigh. He smiled, near apologetic, and shrugged
"And no, I haven't worked with anyone yet, but I'm trying my best to change that. Those two do similar work to me, don't they?"

Dealing in information was a dance of sorts. Rick wasn't going to just shed any secret; what was gold to one ear could be poison in another. Spilling secrets that were worthless to the Magpie wouldn't help either of them. Of course, Magpie couldn't just out and say what he would want. So the two talked, dancing in around the desired information, testing to see if the other could help. Rick's goal was simple; he cross-referenced the secrets and stories he knew against the Magpie's hints. Subtly trying Guiding the Narco to reveal, intentionally or not, what Rick could offer. The Magpie nudged along the lines of what Rick might have learned about the Keeper in the Market, given the circumstances of the Season. Other than that, he seemed to hone in Rick's experience with Winter, such as what's been going on the dragon thief, or Firebringer's declining social status and any plans to resuscitate. Sipping on a bottle of stout, he used metaphor; discussing the McCarthy Era and the poison fear could inflict when people thought they had found a traitor to the state, and what that meant for their friends and family. He also didn't hide that he was just plain curious about Rick looking for such a power; dark eyes read body cues as the local sovereign of bric-a-brac assessed his current oddity. Had he been retained? Was Archie Hartman looking to gather some blackmail? Or was Rick simply scared about silent arrows in the back?

The market and the keeper was something Rick was willing to spill.
“The Last Unicorn and its servants have taken residency within the Market. Something The Goblin King is unwilling to deal with. I know of one huntsmen in the market Gedeihen , but from my understanding there are more. The one I know is searching for one named Peter. “
Rick also gave a small suggestion of a hint that the Goblin King has grown weary of duties and could use a vacation. The means to do so Rick does not divulge.
The discussion of winter, Rick dances around. But the Magpie was a keen observer and could pick up on the subtlest of subject, and with being an Oath breaker, the Wyrd was happy to help. Rick was looking to make amends and it would take time. There is obvious concern for safety from the Arrow. However that was not entirely the reason for the Contract Rick was pursuing. The Magpie picks up on frustration of the distrust surrounding Rick and his efforts. Secondly Rick seemed to be searching for a way to become more important to his Knight, a relationship that was strained given the Oathbreaking. Lastly the ability to perceive and be perceived truthful seemed to be rooted deeply in fulfilling a personal promise to someone of importance to Rick.

Having nothing to add to her own words, or Victor's, Blaze simply waits for the situation to unfold, keeping one eye out for trouble more out of habit at this point than out of genuine opinion that it's needed. Looks like this party is the kind of mess that largely takes care of itself.

"Oh!" Rueben's dark eyes flicked to The Broker, "Gedeihen, I didn't know you were a Huntsman."
"He is referring to the Torchlight Rogue," the Hob Goblin offered smoothly, his smile offputtingly friendly and innocent as he tipped his glass to Rick. There was the intrusive memory of the same human turning to shadow and grinning fangs as the singing spiders hunted below. Rick owed a lot to the cat.
"...I'm not here to judge your decisions, Rick, though I'll hand off the advise that selling pieces of yourself to please the Spring Court is a common trap people fall into." He pointed and spoke the way to the Dollmaker anyway, not looking to spit on the purchase.
"The real power's in allies."
"You are right! Herr Sorsa, if you need me to speak on your behalf to someone, I would happily be retained."

With Victor's question, he typed out that they could really use the help, honestly. Trained forensic cleanup was a rare skill, and even rarer for those who could tolerate it long enough for anything worth a tenure. To Blaze, he mentioned Solomon or Mordecai were good to get into contact with if she was looking for espionage. However, if she was vouching as a properly trained therapist, the Freehold had a dearth of mental health advocates, and providing therapy in the Dream was often essential to detangling deep seated damage that would normally take years and medication to even approach functionality. The Bishops of Blackbirds were a good touchpoint, which Cailleagh was friendly with. The Elemental himself was obviously a tech person, though he tossed in that liked mountain biking and painting murals. It was up to the Onyx swordsman and ID cracker to humanize himself, after all.

"Right yes, Torchlight Rouge," Rick trailed off slightly. A look of confusion came over his eyes. How had he forgotten that? He swore the names. His mind spun for a moment, and he muttered some incoherent thoughts to himself.
Snapping back from his well of madness, his eyes landed on the Broker Gedihen before trailing back to Ruben.
"I 'ppreciate the advice. Allies are in short supply these days. Hard to make 'em when no one trusts you."
The advice was oddly kind, from someone who was all but a stranger, left Rick feeling a bit disarmed for a moment before he looked back at the broker.
"Speakin' of. I am surprised you didn't cash in yet, given all that's been goin' on. " He raised an eyebrow observing the cat-like hobgoblin.
