The stadium's arena had summoned a bare stone platform. As contestants stood on the floor, it would raise—the rock twisting on the edges and underneath like licking flames. The Knight Commander of the Chevaliers walked down the line, voice roaring as he introduced each of the competitors as the stadium and Mantle carried the grinding screech and heat of his Durance.
"The Season calls for combat! Throwing the gauntlet will be met with honourable challenge, with the victory conditions of First Blood or Knockout. Spinning the Wyrd is for Hedge Dueling—we do this raw!"
A ceremonial blade is nicked across the flesh, flicking the wound as the stone hissed with the blood turning to fire, erupting in a ring around the arena like a cage and preventing throwing or running until the Rite was complete.

Danica stands in the ring, ready to fight. Her fists glowing with searing fire, reading to burn her opponent. Too bad for Wayland, they don't know they're facing a badass. Ish. She feels that rush of adrenaline and feels like she can fight this one out. Her stance is strong and her positioning is exact and when time is declared, she goes in for the punch.

The Ogre had thrown down this challenge. Well, less of a challenge, and more of an invitation? She hasn't had a chance to see Dani in action yet, and she'd like to. In a friendly manner, honoring Summer. So the two of them step into the ring. Where it's shown that while Wayland may not be inexperienced, Firebringer definitely has the edge on her. The Ogre throws some decent moves, but hits nothing but air, and takes a good shot from the Elemental before the fight's over. Wayland is wearing a smile as she walks out of the ring.

The Fairest convinced a couple of the new Summer recruits to help him bring a folding table and chair over by the ring. Once everything was set up and the fight was underway, Lucas spoke into an empty pop that he was he was pretending was a microphone since they were inside of the Hedge.
"Fellow Freeholders, you are in for a treat tonight!
Weighing in at "Pure Elemental Fury" is Summer's own, Firebringer!
She is the undisputed, reigning heavy weight world champion at the Good Denny's on the Strip. Many a drunken fool has asked her to meet them outside in the parking lot. They fucked around. They found out. She remains undefeated in parking lot brawls."
Lucas bangs a fist on the table to build up hype for the fight.
"Will her elemental might be enough to hold off another bright flame among Summer's burning inferno of awesomeness?
Weighing in at "100% Ogre Power" is the Iron's spear's Wayland! She has fought through the bowels of ghostly hell to help save the vulnerable and make sure a precious bird was able to say good bye to his mother. Will this rising star among the Iron Spear take over all the Denny's on the Strip and make Firebringer be the one who finds out this time around ?
We're about to find out! LET'S GET READY TO RRRUUMMBBBLLLEEE!"
Lucas's commentary style was comical and exaggerated, trying to make the battle as over the top sounding as possible to hopefully bring some amusement to the Iron spear who he had to imagine had seen a lot of ugly things in their recent battles.
"This is coming down to the wire! Fire sees an opening...she's going in...can she do it?! CAN SHE LAND IT!?"
Lucas slams his hands down onto the table as he stands up from his seat.
"She did it! Fire is still the undefeated heavy weight Champion of the Good Denny's!"
The Fairest walked over to Dani, holding the "microphone" bottle up to her.
"Firebringer, congratulations on your win. Our viewers at home want to know...now that you have defended your title for the Good Denny's, are you going to enter The Other Denny's parking lot league?"

The match between Gavin Graves and Kai Rose was speedy off the hop, the Beast pushing exceptional aggression and taking the initiative immediately. The Squire of Scales was cut early, an unexpectedly lengthy tri-claw raking her right forearm as she was slow on the block, blood spattering to the sand as Kai spun with the impact and snapped a roundhouse kick that caught the Razorhand in the chin, snapping his head to the side. He pressed forward, a flurry of blows snapping out as the Wizened gave ground.
The timelines were closed to her. There was only speed, and her speed was enough to keep up with the master of claws. The blades came closer and closer, but her foot snapped up and paused him a second. The momentum shifted, and she used it to pushed herself back into a handspring to get a little distance --
-- and the crane kick caught him.
Kai seized the advantage, snapping hands out to add additional damage, but Graves was too fast, each punch expertly blocked before he snapped a kick of his own that caught her in the side. She spat blood again, but managed to get her arms up and in, getting inside the next claw swipe. A hip-toss sent Graves tumbling to the ground.
Sometimes, you got lucky. Rose didn't have the expertise to beat him. But every now and again, you were in the right timeline all along.
His temple happened to be at her foot. Her foot happened to be moving. Acceleration and mass did the rest.
Panting and bloody, Kai signaled for a medic to tend to them both. Summer's will be done.
