All That Glitters is a modest property, green paint and fencework plus star-patterned brick. The sign is writ in typical red for the shopping center, parked between downtown and Spring Valley. It offers the usual pawn shop amenities, gold liquidation sales, and short-term loans. The interior is a flow of glass cases, with some antique furniture set into a neat display, or a lovely place to drink tea, depending on your relationship with the shop's manager or the importance of your negotiation.
Said manager spent the early twilight of the morning in the attached warehouse and workshop, with all the tools needed clean, repair, or restore any of the shop's possible acquisitions... Or to create something new at the manager's whim. This morning had involved weaving glass into gems, while seeping a lovely hibiscus white tea blend and icing it for combination with lemonade when the Las Vegas sun began working it's magic on the temperatures during the peak of the day. The bourbon-soaked Assam milk tea she'd set to combining over night had been the perfect means for waking up.
At least to the Spider's slightly smokey palette.
Lina perched with that cup of tea in an obsessive early movie prop maker's recreation of the Silver Throne of Denmark. Surprisingly comfortable, for all the gilt, and the place she usually sat spending the slow hours of the shop reading up on ancient techniques and the latest trends in whatever craft or art struck her fancy that week. Today it was research related to the new Kintsugi tea set which she'd acquired and which had re-sparked her interest in brewing all the tea she'd been making of late.
