As darkness descended the Illuminated moth seemed to stick out more than ever. Their translucent strange glow grew brighter, the dim moonlight of the hedge peeled and pulled around them before suddenly where once was a ghostly Darkling was nothing.
Darkness, and stealth were welcome to the Twilight Dancer, but they knew two of their companions might draw attention in the market and less accustom to finding ways to go unnoticed. So they ran distractions, small moments of subterfuge, distant sounds sounds, the rustling of objects, or the shifting of places. It allowed for the Moth to draw attention away from the other others.

Archie agreed and did the sneaking with the group, he was at the mercy of the group here as this was not the portion he was expert at. So he made sure he followed along as dutifully as he could.

The smoke and noise of the shanty town enveloped their invisible traverse. Wayland adapts, watching the signs of Gavin's trailblazing with a quiet assurance when the Hedge didn't shift or close in. Riley's hints seem to go unnoticed; maybe Archie was rattled, or maybe Riley's tracks were under the influence of the Broker's blessings. Either way, the Fairest has the shittiest luck. Even as the night cloaks the slightly faded ghost, lamps light, illuminating his visage. A snake large enough to eat a dog whips through the sand and causes him to shout. Various brightly coloured Hobgoblins call out, harmless in their revelry but difficult to shake as he slowly gained a squad. The Broker sighed silently as he rounded on his heels to address the growing party troupe, before his head snapped and disappeared in a ripple of smoke. The cat emerged from the shadows along one of the scaffolding, an ethereal swallow flapping weakly from its jaws. He growled at Archie in warning as the other Hobgoblins fled. Hide.

Gavin tries to mark an ideal spot, but it's a longshot. Hartman can't cut the distance in time, the ground trembling in a shockwave as the screech of bending metal heralds the towering monstrosity that lands before him. White light pools on the Fairest like a searchlight, the living lantern standing from its aggressive bow. "Good evening, lost one.
I am the appointed Huntsman of the Last Unicorn. Who do I have the pleasure of addressing?" It advanced, sharp spikes for legs spearing the retreat as Archie crab-walked backwards.

Archie didn’t like the hedge. He almost wished he could blame someone else for this mess but really his guide was doing everything in his damned talented hands to try and keep the Fairest alive and on track. However it seemed as though Archie’s fate was playing out in a way that wished to disregard both of these desires. Hence the conclusion was simple - Archie didn’t like the hedge. Left crawling through the dirt was the antithesis of a good time. With the behemoth in front of him there was little that could be done about dwelling on anything but the situation at hand. And so with the monstrosity in front of him being so cordial, Archie was left to stutter. “A-Archie.”In a stupor he offered a hand to the terror. Force of habit as it was frozen in front of it. “S-sorry to be in the way, I-I’ll be on my way - pay me no mind.”

When the Host failed to keep up with Gavin's rapid pace he couldn't fault him. It was a tight timeframe to work in and an invisible guide to follow. Still he felt like his charge had become complacent behind the wards. Archie was missing the sheer verve induced by adrenaline at times like these, and it showed.
Gavin stood in his invisible perch absorbing the details while the creature blocked the movement of the Host. He took a moment to examine the situation and think about the complexities of the threads that bind such an inauspicious creature. The particulars of the bargain made by the Antler Crown tied this thing's hands quite thoroughly--at least with respect to the Lost currently present--it could do no physical harm to you unless you were its desired target. It could not reply in kind were Gavin to press against that weakness.
There was an alternative though. Were it to press its bluff against Archie, perhaps to swing at the Cat to imply its threat had teeth, Gavin considered invisibly catching the blow and letting some of his blood flow causing the creature to break the bargain and suffer the consequences. He realized that would most likely only cause the Wyrd to warn of the impending violation and serve to ward off the swing, saving the Cat and not result in a breach of bargain. Gavin's cunning thought wasn't going to work in this instance. Still he was proud of putting the variables together in that configuration within the heat of the moment.
He shortly decided to let Archie attempt his own cunning escape plan while Gavin lined up to unleash brutal violence should it be necessary. There's nothing quite like sudden dismemberment for changing the tone of a negotiation that isn't going the way you want. There was no way this extension of a Keeper was going to be allowed to witness the Freehold's negotiations with the market. The only alternative would be for Riley and Wayland to go off and complete the remaining business on their own.
Before committing to his plan he checked the corners, the shadowy places, the shadow puppets cast by any lights within tents, the sky, all the places where an unforeseen variable could come from. Fighting an unseen army would not go well. Surely as the Huntsman was bound, enlisted Hobs would not be. The equation had to favour Gavin or he might prudently balk.
As taxing as prudence was going to be, it was worth the cost. This creature was not to be underestimated in its potential threat to the Lost and the Freehold. The Razorhand had cause to call on its inherent power, and did. Invisibly flexing his fingers and toes, the gruesome claws extended to further menace and stack the field in Gavin's favour as the extant bird-like armature took on aspects of obsidian. The claws blackened and took on a mirror shine and the wicked edge the Kith was feared for. The act woke a latent hunger in him.
As Gavin steadied his breathing and steeled himself to the possibility of violence he mused to himself, How many Razorhands does it take to change a lightbulb? and waited for a reason or opportunity to strike and find out. If the Huntsman committed to a physical action, even against the cat, Gavin would strike from invisibility in its vulnerable moment with everything he had.

The Darkling halted not far from where Archie was stopped by the huntsmen. The moth wouldn't admit it, nor were they proud, but their fear told them to run. Keep going, so the huntsmen only know one was here and not four. But Archie was a friend, a dear one, and leaving him wasn't an option. They could feel their heart pounding in their chest as they watched the interaction.
Run fly run.
Their mind races as they watched the situation; they moved slightly closer but noticed violence had not erupted yet. If things went south, they could always flare, blind the hunter of the unicorn and give Archie a moment to flee.

The Huntsman's knife-like fingers clicked cautiously, "My hands would cut you,
Archie of the Lost,
You are from the Valley? I have something to offer, perhaps.
You wouldn't want me to keep my eye on you, When I can forget as soon as this business is done. I have no desire to harass you."The pool of Archie's mantle expanded at an uncomfortable rate, light the spotlight from a helicopter had been aimed on his person and caused him to glow obvious and known. He felt the heat, he felt marked.
"A favour for information."

“As riveting an offer as that is - I think I will have to decline. Now I really must be going you see, as I am late, meaning that I am not where I need to be at this time, and the longer I dally the more late I will become. That simply will not do.”
Every word the abomination spoke was poison laced.
Every word tugged at the fabric of what was.
Every option was not viable.
The only offer was ruin, and the crumbling of the Temples foundation.
He was not a mere step, nor was he the instrument of his own deconstruction.
“Enjoy your day.”
He struggled to climb against the wall; his back was too, soft hands feeling every bite of the wall, shuffling alongside it. He quickly looked to put distance between him and the monster and leave the cursed deal where it lay.

"No need for a business card if you are so inconvenienced.
It is known, now.
You seek the King. I can grant you audience. But it goes deeper, oh yes.
The desires of Spring are grand in one's pursuit of recapturing glory." The lantern flares, "That's a deep rabbit hole to go down, I see before me.
The family in LA you've left behind, but you're over that now." The spears hiss in the sand as it strolls behind, easily matching pace with the Fairest as it assesses his psyche and carries casual conversation. A spirit of revelry may be familiar with the Verdant Creed.
"If I may, good sir, I give in potential what I take, and thus: more offers are yours." It spun, bending to eye him closely as the flame dances across the shadows of the cat's blessing. Gedeihen steps out, holding the wispy blue swallow clasped between his hands and frowning cautiously at the entity. "It's a lovely night. I'll escort you both."

Gavin sensing the moving bodies in the area nearby, skirts around the area of the tense conversation under the protection of Light Shy, trying to get a read on the nearby entities and their possible connection with this creature. He needed to know the ramifications of making a move here. At least make it an informed decision.
Getting a look at the faces, their worn colours, and expressions, his eyes seeing clearly in the dark, he moved back into ideal position. Ruminating on the meaning of what he saw, Gavin poised ready again to leap into action should the creature commit to a physical maneuver. His nerves were like high tension wires, and his instincts were ready to use that coiled energy. Would it be fight or flight?

"Pardon"
Came a sudden disembodied voice. The Darkling maintained their distance but could see Archie was looking worried with the turn of events. Understandable. Riley would of turn invisible and hid first thing they could in a situation like this. The fact Archie hadn't tried to run was impressive on its own. The strange Huntsmen did not respond however to the Darklings calling.
"i said Pardon!?" Riley repeated iritation biting in their tone. Is it just ignoring them? Riley fidgeted before realizing they could not be heard. While it made sense it didn't make them any less irate. Stomping their right foot they pulled down the contract. Their current translucent shadow like form coming back into existence.
"I reckon he aint uncomfortable with your presence@"
The Darkling wasn't sure if stepping in was going to be helpful. In fact, it could make things worse; they didn't know anything about this creature, but leaving Archie alone felt wrong.
" He doesn't want to speak with you. That much is clear. I, on the other hand, may be willin' to hear your offer in his stead."

The Hobgoblins weren't avoiding the Huntsman because they were the apex predator, but rather, they seem to be moreso worried about the Changelings bothering it. It reminded Gavin of the arrogant son of a drug baron wandering around and everyone pissing themselves at the idea of someone bloodying his nose. Messing with this thing would likely cause a a lot of problems the Market won't look kindly on, for reasons unknown. The Broker hisses under his breath as the spotlight pours onto Riley, rolling his eyes. "Well, I can promise you that I will not judge you like your peers." The flame flickers in a silent chuckle, "I can take you straight to the Goblin King, which I am sensing is a group goal.
But I've been stuck here for a while, you see.
I have a difficult face, but have procured a solution. No guilt to yourselves, as I cannot enter your sanctum." It still kept pace with Archie, having no problem tracking both with such close proximity.
