The stage had been set, and it was Hartman with the play. He had sent the notes in the group planner when all the times were in, The Venetian was the place to be, and he had a room ready to go. It was a nice little meeting room, the TV was on, a generic screensaver up, but through the dates one could see that it had media loaded on and ready to place. At the five seats set each had a name card, and a booklet with details, and in front of Archie’s own seat there was a large album-esque book that held what looked like more physical samples of the ideas that he had. Seating had the Queen herself at the head, so the window would be at her back and the light not be too disturbing. To her left was Archie, and beside Archie, Agrippa. To the Queens right was Riley, and beside Riley was Ivory. Each of them had a glass bottle of wattle in front of them and the center of the table was populated with fruit and nut platters with yogourt, as well as some plates and utensils so they could help themselves. A nice afternoon snack. Dead center was an iced bucket of fruit wines in flavors such as crab apple, and apricot, black berry, and more. Archie himself was blending into the room with a wonderful blue pinstripe, gold bowtie, and a nice little emerald wreath pin on his lapel. It was Showtime! Riley Sorsa Ivory Agrippa Krakenbox

Archie's fashion choices were a little eccentric, but as the Queen arrived, he almost assumed his eyes would track something Hedgespun about the whimsical nature of her sailor-cut dress. The ensemble was something between Jackie Kennedy, and a dress that belonged to a porcelain doll. She grinned with full teeth, giving the Chatelaine a shy wave as she stepped into the room. When it became clear she wasn't wearing make-up and a plainer wig without the signature curtain of curls, it was implied she was dressing casually. The Mantle flooded, illuminating her alien-white face as the window shifted briefly to dawn. Those present started to feeling light, the swirling air quite literally lifting the spirit. Unspoken promises dance across the skin in a light breeze, and the smell of sapling wood bubbled thoughts of potential futures waiting to be carved. The sun hat was placed on the side table along with a matching clutch, lace gloves pulled one finger at a time. Fresh shoots of ivy fought their way to the surface between the tile wherever she steps. "Ahhh!" she gasped, "Yes! Food!" The plate started to get unceremoniously heaped. "Thank you for pulling this together, mister Hartman."

Riley was not late. They were on time today. With no small help from six alarms, two calls with Archie, and a few texts from Dani. After all, a meeting with your court's Monarch doesn't happen every day. The Bright One arrived shortly after The Verdant Queen. Stepping into the room, the bewitched is dressed in powerful velvet emerald green suit, the collar tips are adorn with silver bees connect by a length of chain. Riley was talented in making thrift shop clothes look glamorous , but this was something else for them. The ensemble was tailor-made, a luxury Riley was not accustomed to and made possible with the help of Archie. Riley had long debated bringing their prized hedgespun glove but decided this meeting would feel too much. However, their Golden hair nettle today took the form of a brilliant scarlet silk bow tie that held their hair back I an tight short ponytail. Emerging into the room, Riley flashed Archie a smile and slight wink before their attention was drawn to the visage of the Porcelain Queen. The moth was struck by her bold style, with queen rarely in public sight, it always had an impact. Riley bowed their head respectfully. For the briefest moment, they weren't sure how to address her. The courtly M'lady, your Majesty? Or Ma'am, had been drilled into their brain as a child? Given the mundane location of their meeting, Riley decided on the Later. "Ma'am, it's a pleasure," The bright one said glancing up from their bowed head with a smile. Thank god I didn't wear a dress today.
"Archie this delightful, thank you" Spying their place at the table Riley moved towards it, waiting to seat till both the others had arrived and the Queen had taken a seat.

Agrippa floated through the doorway, all lilac and dusty pink- if their suit had been any more saturated, it wouldn't have been entirely out of bounds to accuse the beast of trying to pay homage to a barbie doll. They barely got a step or three into the room before feeling compelled to address the queen with a grin overjoyed and a dramatic quarter-bow. The gesture was, it seemed, precisely calculated in its seriousness to be at once honestly reverent, and playful enough to respect the casual circumstances of the meeting.
"Good afternoon!"
They wouldn't use honorifics- somehow, it felt wrong given that they were only a few walls away from the mundane. Besides, the vaguery had the added advantage that they didn't have to address the room multiple times to include everyone in it. In a single fluid motion, they rose back up, glided to the seat Archie had assigned them, and pulled the chair away from the table. They took Riley's cue and refrained from seating themselves just yet. Seemingly incapable of maintaining a formal gait however, they couldn't help but take the opportunity to lean over the back rest. A long arm reached over the chair and the table, going directly for the wine. Agrippa figured it was less rude to go for it now, than to wait for when the meeting had begun (which they suspected would happen as soon as Ivory's face showed through the door). Their hand hovered over a bottle with a red neck a moment, before they realized that they should probably make sure the Queen got first pick. They turned a happy look towards her, tilting their head towards the drinks in a silent question.

Certainly, many would jump at the opportunity to pull out the stops when appealing to their Monarch. Normally, Ivory might even be among them. Those who have earned the Crown are deserving of such respects and, despite her recent interest in Buck, Spring had granted the Crown to another. It would not have done so lightly. Nonetheless, today was not about socializing in its entirety. Today was about business, particularly the business of planning Ostara. As a result, the Pale Dragon dressed appropriately. A fitted grey suit seemed to be the right call, coupled with a fun black lace top just visible beyond the jacket and matching black heels. Upon her entry there was some pause in the Fairest, the recent paranoia born from the damage of her Clarity briefly overtaking her senses as she observed all had arrived save for her. Had she been late? Surely not... she had scheduled her commute ahead of time, but there was that small strip of construction in Spring Valley and the light down the rode seemed to last a touch too long. With all of this, the assembled were treated to a rare look of confusion and disbelief from the Pale Dragon before Ivory buried it deep, quietly clearing her throat as she re-centered her perspective. More notably, though, the Fairest's connection to Spring - and the Wyrd - seemed to have grown. Light feelings of anticipation accompanied the occasional flickering of a dim golden halo behind the dragon's head. Her scales were more abundant, the spread of ivory sheen causing the dusky gray skin that had once been abundant to become scarce, save for her chest, much of her face, and her palms. Her horns, too, seemed larger and sturdier as this Lost edged closer to the Dragon-That-Was. "Good afternoon, please pardon my tardiness," she offered, her tone leveling out in it's usual cordial manner as the stoic smile that had been so common to the dragon played on their lips. Her gaze first landed upon Philicia, for she was the First among them. "It is a pleasure to make your acquaintance, Your Majesty," she offered, her head dipping in respect, "Thank you for suggesting the meeting. I am certain it will be most useful."
The smile turned a touch warm as the Dragon's attentions were stolen by the familiar faces of Agrippa and Riley. "Good to see you both," she offered. The glance to Archie lacked the warmth the others had recieved, but remained cordial and pleasant enough. He had not given substantial reason for the Pale Dragon to clash with him and, frankly, in this matter they needed to work together. Both of their reputations were at stake. "And a pleasure to see you again as well, Mr. Hartman," she said.

“Your Majesty, the pleasure is mine - the wyrd has spoken and I seek to honor its selection by putting my best foot forward. Though before we get to talking shop - your dress, ugh, I love it - tells such a story without being the center of attention. Forgive me for gushing, but I can’t let it go without saying something.”
He was jovial, and seemed quite genuine about the matter. As a man of somewhat outlandish fashion himself he had some sense of fashion and what statements could be made with it, and whether it was accentuating a person or it was the topic of conversation itself. Queue the moth.
“Riley! Your Majesty, while I am sure you can connect names to faces - allow me to introduce you to Riley Sorsa, a rising star with a careful step and sense of rhythm that would make me envious if I wasn’t enraptured. I represent Riley in their pursuits to show just what they are made of. Recently she has actually managed to make a splash in the performance world. On top of this we are planning a little shindig - more mundane then the coming festival - to honor her accomplishments. Of course, you have a standing invitation.”
Yes, Philicia, Queen of Spring, who bears the Antler Crown - would you like to come to Riley’s party? It would be awesome if you did. No sooner had he finished then had Agrippa joined them.
“Agrippa! So happy to see you! I am glad you could make it. Your majesty, Agrippa as gifted with a pen as he is with color coordination. I look forward to hearing his ideas or critiques, so I can understand why the wyrd brought him aboard.”
As he began to let people shuffle and made room for everyone to find a place, Ivory finally joined them. The pulse of her presence filling the room before it was swallowed up by the rising currents of hope.
“Ivory.”
He motioned to the spread. Past experiences informed his choices here - she was more than capable of speaking for herself and would likely return to the same playbook if Archie tried to do anything other than be curt
“Now while everyone grabs a bite, and pours a drink if they would like - I will direct you to the bound handouts in front of you. These are merely speculative for now, but I have assessments, palettes, food and drink plans, menu options sans less than mundane options for obvious reasons, and general layout for two locations.”
He held up two fingers as he spoke.
“I present one more naturalist option in The Grove, while we have more of an urban modern vibe with Mansion 54. It comes down to what better suits the needs of the festival, and whether or not we want to touch on our symbolic roots versus our unique heritage as a concrete and neon paradise in the desert. However…”
A pause for flavor.
“However as we settle in and we begin looking over these options, I believe it is worth tabling the other options people have brought.”

"Thank you, I make them myself," she said; not shy for the compliment, but also not one to preen. It felt more like a window into her hobbies than a brag.
"Great suits. I don't really see the point in makeup or clothes unless you're going to say something with it." Given the rueful grin, there was likely an unspoken, cheeky joke couched in the statement. A practiced eye swept over the fabric and pattern. The large eyes looked like the should have clicked, but instead the sparkling within appeared to come to life in swirling eddies.
Philicia doesn't force everyone to stand for long, quickly finding her seat. She chuckles a bit at the Chatelaine's excited theatrics. The mood was infectious, and she was glad to see him having fun with the burden of responsibility. She nods to each of the court, giving them their own opportunity to speak if they wanted rather than feeling looked over or cut off with the obvious bridge in rank. Ivory afforded the longest pause, and if silence held she would move on before it got awkward.
Privacy was something she appreciated herself.
Between a strawberry, she holds up a hand, "Mhm- if it helps, I'm not sure who is familiar with the Ostara ritual? Everyone remembers the party where we ring in the new year and wake up the dawn." She wiggles two fingers that click with the joints, "Second half is with the Valley of the Dead where everyone plants their seed, like, whatever is symbolic for them or if they just grabbed a walnut at the market. The Archivist has the paint the Giant's Teeth with the life blood of service for the throne ascension, and I have to cut some yew from a dream before I take the Crown. The egg's important too, but you guys don't have to worry about that. It's all about renewal." It was broad enough: An all-nighter New Years bash around sun worship and fertility.
"I think the most important thing is making sure you have insurance, waivers for attendees, and that the Hedge Gates are prepped for a smooth transition when everyone is probably too drunk to stand straight."

Riley nibbled at their plate of delight snacks. Taking a moment to examine those at the table and listen. As Archie explained his current thought and gestured to the binder, the moth went pale. Slowly they leafed through it taking in his hard work.
Wait. Does everyone have binders? Hearing the queen compliment their suit, gave the Bright one a little extra glow and a soft smile. When it came time for Riley to speak, they glanced around the table and smiled.
“Sorry I didn't know there was homework. To Archie's suggestions, The Grove seems most in keepin’ with the theme. “
The bright one shifted ever so slightly, making a glance between Archie and Ivory
“As for my own ideas, I have a few. I admit, I don't have the means to make some of them happen. I reckon some entertainment related to the theme of the evenin’ would be in order, the hold is ripe with talent. I have further thoughts on that but it can wait.
I also thought perhaps a dress code could distinguish but I ain't here or there on that.
My last idea is if we have access to hedge fruit. Given the fertility and coming of spring it felt fitting.”
The moth let the topics pass to the others at the table till the Queen went into further detail regarding the rites of the event and certain elements that would need to be arranged.
“Contraceptives would be good as well” The sexworker was unphased about bringing it up. “It's bound to happen at parties like this and we should provide tools. Clear expectations and all. That is somethin’ I am capable of puttin’ together”
Riley knew the lost could not bear children, but wasn't sure about STDs. Even safe from those, the contraceptives would have other uses, namely setting up an expectation of safe practices.

Without even a hint of a request from the monarch, Agrippa plucked the bottle they had originally been eyeing and set it out on the table in front of them, nodding appreciatively as the label revealed their choice to be a raspberry wine. With the others already talking, the beast took their seat in silence, leafing absently through the binder Archie had provided. They hadn't come up with any big ideas, but they didn't fret about it. Nothing they would have brought to the table would likely survive the brainstorming process in any case- it was just more efficient to skip the middle man and create the plan whole cloth at the meeting. They always functioned better as support in these sorts of projects anyways.
"I'll throw my vote in for the Grove as well. Even setting aesthetics and symbolism aside, the logistics of this will likely be easier out doors."
They started on the bottle top, carefully twisting it free as they continued to talk
"Though if we go with that, we'll need tables, seating, and lighting for the guests, as well as some some area for food preparation or storage... though I'm getting ahead of myself here. Regardless of what option we go with, I am going to caution that it might be a good idea to go with décor that can survive an entire night of a drunken crowd. Less fire and glass and expensive lace placemats, and more plastic and electric lighting. At the very least that'll help with the insurance"
The bottle-top made a soft popping noise as it finally released its hold. Agrippa glanced towards the Queen, both as a callback to her own mention of insurance, and as a way to gage whether anything they were saying seemed off-track.
"A little creativity and resourcefulness, and it shouldn't impact the aesthetics very much at all."

The lack of an introduction from Archie was noted, but if it bothered the Pale Dragon she wasn't showing it. After all, the Queen would be aware of her following the meeting. That's all that really mattered.
Sliding into a seat, the Pale Dragon eyed the wine bucket as the offer of refreshment was given. There was a brief battle within the Fairest as she considered caving for a little indulgence or remaining rigidly professional. However, desire quickly won out as an ivory scaled hand delicately plucked out a selection. And her selection? Plum. The golden gaze of the Pale Dragon turned to the handouts Archie had directed them to, but not before affording their Queen a smile and a nod in thanks for her compliment.
"Thank you," she offered.
As Philicia spoke of the needs for the evening Ivory nodded.
"Insurance and waivers shouldn't be a problem," Ivory said, "Mr. Hartman and myself are well established financially. I am it will be a non-issue once we settle on a company with whom to attain the insurance for the event and venue."
A small compliment for the rounder man. Archie's willingness to provide was well established and Ivory could recognize as such.
The Fairest patiently waited for Agrippa and Riley to say their piece before shifting her looks between Archie and Philicia.
"I echo the selection of the Grove as a venue, given its symbolism," she offered, "The provision of tables, seating, and lighting is a simple thing as Agrippa has noted, although decor and furnishings of Mansion 54 would be more seamless..."
A small con for the Grove, but, really, who was going to overly care about how well the furniture complemented the decor once the event got rolling?
As Riley mentioned the need for entertainment the dragon would nod in agreement.
"It would help with the atmosphere, I'm certain there are at least a few talented musicians and performers among us who would be willing to trade their time for payment," Ivory said. A gig was a gig, after all, "I am personally more hesitant about the enforcement of a dress code. There are many who lack the means and I would not want them to feel unwelcome. I do like the idea of goblin fruit though! I do not personally have ready access to any, however."
The talk of contraceptives elicited a receptive smile from Ivory.
"Agreed, ideally nothing negative will occur, but I'd rather tools and resources be in place in case the worst happens," she says.

Well, it seems like the reigns were happily his - let us keep it that way, shall we? He had nothing but trust that the meeting wouldn’t degenerate into something unruly, but one could call this insurance“Well, I don’t see much of a point debating the two if everyone seems to enjoy the idea of the grove - so how about we just leave it at that? If you thumb through your hand outs we will be looking at pages 3 through 6, 13 to 15, and 19 through 24.”
At the same time he opened his larger book and pulled out three wooden blocks with paint chips and fabric clamped between them. There were several assortments, one, two, and three to be exact. “The first is the preamble to the Grove as a whole, a breakdown of the permits required to get us the seclusion he would like - sans cost, but well within our means. Catering as well, all pre-delivered and stored on site, sans goblin fruit of course. Seating area, dance and performance, the wedding hutch used and repurposed as a centerpiece for the ceremony. We can comfortably celebrate with about 200 before we begin to cramp. Given the nature of these events that seems more than enough.”
He flipped his own tabbed book. “Now for decoration I have three schemes, the first here is specific to what we can take advantage of in The Grove, and plays to a softer pastel palette - inspired by a fondness of periwinkle I observed.”
The Queen’s letters of course. “The other two are more generic, stronger, and bolder choices. One does favor a more cool send as we blend that kiss of baby's breath in, versus a further cascade of greens. None of this is set in stone of course but something I have sourced as available for what we would need in table clothes, banners, cushions, ground options, etcetera. I am proposing standard round tables, four seats per, isolated to their own section for rest, conversation, and food, another more open seating area with a pop up bar for mingling, a dedicated celebrating area, and then our main ceremony area can flex for whatever overflow we have.”“Overall the details of how this idea of a layout would manifest itself with each color scheme are covered in the subsequent three sections I mentioned. You can see the designers mockups are all included, feel free to keep these for yourselves of course.”
He glanced around the room with a smile. “NOW, entertainment - not covered in my guide. I have a few members of the community that can easily provide some background music, and we can always seek out distinct community members to perform. I know Apollo of the Iron Spear has the itch to sing, and Riley here I am sure is more than capable of aweing us. Felicity Stone, also a singer of note, Autumn I do believe. I am sure we can drum up some more names if not off the cuff. Any suggestions?”
He opened the floor to the rest of the group regarding their rightful instance of entertainment. He wanted to know what they had in mind.

Riley appreciated Ivory’s acknowledgement. It was small but for the Moth it was the principal of the matter, that would help distinguish them from other events. As Archie stood and the wyrd placed him as the lead of the meeting, Riley followed the suggestion opening the binder.
There was a lot for the Moth to take in, and it seemed in many ways Archie had handled most of the conceptual work, it just needed to be done. The color schemes were a challenge for RIley at first glance, they knew the party was of a certain nature but none of the colors met their own tastes. They tried hard to push that aside before making a comment.
“First and third seem nice” Riley offered. Glancing around the table to see the others assessments.
“As for entertainment, “ Riley looked to Ivory than Archie for a moment.
“I’d be happy to take part. But knownin’ what kind of entertainment we’re fixin to have would be handy “ Given the listed entertainers had mostly been singers, Riley wasn't sure if their talents were on brand for the evening.
“Like we goin' Jazz club? Garden Party? Or a bit more salacious?”

Agrippa nodded at Ivory, nearly grateful as she volunteered to help with the insurance. Even if the beast had the wallet for it, they wouldn't be able to make heads or tails of such affairs. The nodding continued as Archie instructed which pages to look at, and asked for opinions on the shortlisted colour schemes
"For fear of sounding dreadfully predictable, I do quite like the pastel pallet the best. Everything I'm seeing here looks airtight to me, though I might suggest setting an area aside for guests to lay blankets out on the grass and sit on the ground that way- given the nature of the event, I'm sure there will be some who would want to."
They paused to taste the wine
"Oh, and did you source any florists? That should be an easy shoe-in for appropriate décor. And do we have sound systems? Especially if we are having singers, that is something we should be providing. I'm sure we can get something on-loan for a night."
They turned to Riley, smiling as the moth in-turn volunteered their own services as a performer to the cause.
"I'd think Garden Party, but with a tad more energy, and a little salaciousness sprinkled in for spice."
It was a fertility festival, after all.

Ivory nodded, a visual cue that she was indeed listening as she moved to the pages Archie described without the want for conflict. She was attentive, though her gaze remained on the pages as the others spoke, though she did eventually lift it when the discussion turned to decor and entertainment.
"I am fond of block #3," she offered, "I find it to be a good balance, but I will ascribe to the decision of the group. I'm certain any of the provided examples will be quite popular."
Looking between Agrippa and Riley, Ivory would smile at the interaction between them as they mused over the decision of entertainment.
"Personally, I find Desire to be best stoked gradually. There is no reason we cannot begin with one and end on the other," she said, "It's a celebration, after all. So long as the ritual and other prerequisites are met beforehand, I see no reason for us to not encourage our guests to not pursue their desire. Although... using an oath to pledge some silence regarding the happenings of the night may be prudent."
The gaze shifted to Archie.
"We are not short on talent then, it seems. Encouraging the other Courts to take part in the function is admirable, though I do feel the night provides us the chance to uplift our own, just as Autumn had at Mabon," Ivory said. She was not against the other Courts taking part in the festivities, but allowing Spring to shine brightest on the night of the Coronation seemed best. "To that end, it may be worth our time to tap the Sage Escort in addition to Riley's abundant talent. Between them I am certain we can source many entertainers depending on our needs."

“Your Majesty, I will defer to you - is there a palette that strikes your fancy more than the other? It seems we have a tie between the first and third options.”
He wouldn’t break the vote when the Antler Crown was there, even if they were mostly just scarfing down the fruit assortment. That is what it was there for though, and it tickled him pink to see it going to use. Absolutely wonderful. Things were just smooth as butter. For now.
A pen in hand he was quickly jotting notes on his own booklet as Riley and Agrippa spoke, making sure to include their thoughts on the matter. He even got half of Ivory’s thoughts down.
“Now Abi, I do agree that we shouldn’t give up the headline but we really can have it both ways can’t we? Apollo is already working for our own Sir Nimbus so wouldn’t it be a treat for that relationship to bear fruit and his desire to sing like a morning sparrow be fulfilled? Plus it never hurts to foster a little good will…”
He tilted his head to the side.
“...As the opener that is - our own will happily head the ticket of course. However due to the nature of the event wouldn’t we be best left to letting the Sage Escort mingle and do what they do best, as Ostara really represents no better time for them to do their titles duty. With Riley we also have a dancer of tremendous skill, beauty, and grace, so I don’t want it to seem like we are a one trick pony of a court.”
His Star would shine brightest.
“Not quite on the same board, if we do need some beautiful words Spoken Agrippa’s way with words is stunning - should we need a greeting, or speech. Should your Majesty not be keen to do speech writing I am sure they could help with that.”
