Oh how the tone changes. If anything Archie was curious if there was some sick satisfaction with Fawkes seeing the Ogre fold like paper under the observations and questions of the Summer Court Officer. He really hoped that Finn at least understood at this point that there wasn’t going be a meeting at the police station with Fawkes. Especially if the Ogre didn’t want the Arrayer breathing down his neck and applying all sorts of unwanted pressure - or worse. There was always worse. He watched Narcos.
“Let me level you with Sweeney - that phone call got all sorts out of hand, I apologize. Rowan said there was reason to suspect a Spring so we are rolling with that as a theory worth pursuing. He was also the one that helped us connect the possibility of guns, and got us on the horn with Fawkes - so we are just following the leads given. We appreciate the time spent coming out here and helping us have the chance to get more answers, so - thank you.”
He offered the Elemental a fist bump, not wanting to suffer the same fate as Finn’s hand but not want to insult. So you know - it was something!

"The drug hurts Freeholders? That's new. It's been pretty popular," Sweeney muses, shrugging at the fact that he wasn't interested himself. "I hadn't heard anything. Fill me in on who and how?"
At the description of the crime scene, the Blightbent gives a low whistle. Some of the ichor leaked from the corner of his eye as he blinked. "Elemental like, because of the Sword? Or are you one of those occult experts?" His grin held some excitement, "Bloody Mary's always excited when we get someone with a head for that shit. Usually get a party out of it, which would be pretty sah-weet."
He coughed into his arm again, though the bark sounded almost like an engine stalling. "Mhm, official like an officer?" The Arrayer flashed a meaningful glance towards the Spring courtiers, slow enough for Finn to follow. There was a gentle hint of concern for the Ogre not to run his mouth too much. "Yeah I hope no one was that sloppy; we don't like using mundies like chess pieces."
Between the Torrent's meaningful looks and spinning Finn's theories with softer questions, he was getting the idea that if Spring was involved in some sort of conspiracy that was hurting Freeholders and humans for simple profit margins, a few heads were going to roll, and set off a chain reaction of tense relations. The High Seasons were supposed to be allied with one another, and indeed Summer leaned heavily on the Emeralds to lend their resources to the small militia. Archie and Agrippa were smaller fish, but they were really likeable, and chatty.
Sweeney's smile was soft and almost apologetic himself as Archie relayed his misgivings about their exchange with his motley mate; fist bump returned without missing a beat. As far as Archie could tell, his rambling wasn't deceptive. As Rowan's name was name dropped again, he split a blackened grin at the Autumn, giving him the opportunity to stop hiding behind his cohorts. He remembered the guy from Mabon, scaring the piss out of them. The context was lost; he had been drunker than a skunk at that point and only remembered Fawkes elbowing him hard enough to bruise. Maybe he had said something dumb without the filter.
"You're welcome. Mostly Fawkes who's the busy one. Most of my work is a well oiled machine, until it's not. Like when humans steal shit like grenades." He shrugged again, noting both the Ifrit and Chatelaine wearing the black stains of his toxic mien.
"Oh, right, people think it's mean or something," he mumbled, pulling out a clear container from his jacket and offering what looked like wet wipes. The chemical smelled unfamiliar. "I keep to the ritual, but I really wouldn't recommend letting that stick. This should neutralize it before that starts to burn."

Oh? Dangerous,
”Oh well then, appreciate, thank you.
Sweeney had been good to them, so he was going to take him at face value here. If they had wanted to merc them they would have already. Either way it would give the Arrow time to plant the seed of inception. He dug a little as he wiped his hand down. It also gave Fawkes the time to gather his kit and disappear into the totally foreign warehouse he had never been too, and out of earshot of the group as they did some casual chit chat.
”Huh, well I mean this helps make heads and tails of this if that is all that happened? Unless you can think of any other plot holes.”
It may be for naught, but when gentle encouragement failed, magical could supplement

"Can you be more specific?" The Elemental asked, the picture of patience.

“So it was your guns? And as far as we know it was mortals who snagged them from mundane caches? And they ended up with the Lost here?”

"C'est tout. The guns were definitely with the mortals!" He wiped the bleeding ichor with the sleeve of his jacket, turning his head to look to whatever direction Fawkes had disappeared to. "You looking for the lagniappe or what?" The mask of his ease flickered for a moment, posture changing as he seemed antsy with the shift of his psyche.

The world was blurred, and the chattering of his cohorts may have been like screaming underwater. Betrayal and Bravado had not worked, and the Fairest was left to clean up the mess. Instead the world seemed to open up to him, the light he often found himself under now illuminating Sweeney, his partner in the scene. Sure the Elemental had been a little stiff at the start of the act, but that is what gentle encouragement helped to correct. He was fixated on nailing this scene, and not leaving this stage without something...
A few rapid blinks later…
The stage was simply a metaphor, a trick of the mind. For now he had business to attend too. “Just, this is a serious situation and I want to make sure I don’t have something wrong in my notes. Devil is in the details. It was you and Fawkes who came here to get the guns right?”That’s right, just checking notes. Strong King - Archie — Today at 12:58 AM

“Walk with me, talk with me - Finn, Rowan, go see if Fawkes needs a hand with the heavy lifting”
It was a queue to shoo the others away - they had already damaged this entire ordeal and he had little patience for them to do it again, they could also keep the Sun Banisher busy. At the same time, he urged Sweeney to stroll around the property, maybe to the corner of the property, and walk the perimeter. It was sure to be a merry jaunt. When/If they got out of ear shot of everyone else? “There were murders, so I would very much like to know more. Names?”
All with a smile. Strong King - Archie — Today at 1:32 AM

As Archie continues chattering, the illusion of the situation was staring to come apart in Sweeney's mind, as his will and perception started to impossibly clash. The black veins under the Torrent's skin started to rupture and bruise, smoothing his hair as he started stammering to himself,
"No- I didn't w-want- I'm-"

Rowan had just waved at Sweeney and wanted to come talk to him. Between his Goodwill and the Blightbent's disposition, he was hoping it would go smoother than with Fawkes. However, Archie cut him off and basically dismissed the rest of them. So Rowan simply frowned and went towards Fawkes.
That's when Sweeney started stammering. 'No- I didn't w-want- I'm-'
Agrippa or Finn, or even Fawkes, someone who knew how to handle people needed to step in, because Rowan had no idea how to defuse the situation. Something had set off the pollution cloud and now things weren't looking too hot. This eyes darted to Archie and shot silent daggers.
"You don't have to answer if you don't want to, Sweeney." It was always a bad idea to force Torrents to do things.
