You could find most things in Whitney, it was just a matter of knowing where to look. It was a rough neighbourhood, with people trying to make ends meet however they could. Rowan had been a child the last time he walked these streets and many things had gone over his head, like the shoes strung on telephone poles and the pretty ladies waiting at corners for a car to pick them up. The world had grown much darker since his return. The beautiful wall art now had gang affiliation tags and turf delimitation, the cops were looking for an excuse to get out of their car. Once, it had been home.
Tanner had done much for the Darkling in the last year and Rowan understood first hand his situation. Arcadia gifted many things, but not all change was for the better. And so, Rowan was looking for Adderall.

Rowan easily tags the prescription, and with the extra effort manages to find a dealer that isn't The Shadiest. If the track record was accurate, they didn't have a history of dying clients or cheaply cut trash with God-Know-What chemical to round out the costs.
As Tanner has surmised, the street was infinitely cheaper than the pharmacy, and the Beast had given the Darkling more than enough money with no word on what to do with the extra bills.

He pocketed the spare bills - calling it his commission or some such to quiet his conscience. He knew Cinderella had money and that she wasn't about to let Tanner get into financial trouble.
A coping mechanism, that's what the Adderall was. A way to even out the shitty hand Tanner had been dealt. There was only one question, one burning inquiry that the Darkling tried his best to ignore. He'd seen the Beast's wrists, revealed in a lapse of attention. Really, he knew what they meant, but he had no idea what to do with the information. It wasn't like he regularly talked to the others in Tanner's motley, or had the social grace to bring up the topic. So he bundled the knowledge and tucked it away in a corner of his mind. One more secret that weighed him down. One more secret he hoarded out of fear.
Rowan quickly thumbed through the contacts of his phone and stopped on the relevant number. "Hi, it's Rowan. I have what you asked for."
