Rowan was going over the plan one more time. He had the Contract, he had the vial. Combined, these two should tell him who was bottling the Rose Water. He looked around the room - it wasn't much to look at. He was still cramped up in his old space, back at the Hostel.
They were going over the information available to them. He had even purchased a cork board for the occasion, flash cards and some red thread. He had promised Ivory leads, and despite his claims to the contrary, his Darkling nature had kicked in and demanded answers.
He sat on the bed, wondering who was going to show up. He had been very selective with his invitations, perhaps even a little too much. And considering his own reputation within the 'Hold, he wouldn't be surprised if no one showed up at all.

Mulling, musing, meandering, missing the point.
All of these had described the way in which Archie Hartman had handled whis foray into being a big damn here. All that reaching out and trying to get his producers credit had done was get him put in the middle of what could be actual real legitimate danger. This was not what he wanted to be spending his evenings doing.
However, the tides were turning and he wasn’t about to just get swept away as everything went to hell in a handbasket. Bracing and hoping for the best never worked. Considering his upbringing that was very, very ,very much a lesson that was beaten in the boychik’s. Complacency lets the monsters run wild so do something while you can.
So, the normally inactive, normally observer, normally content, normally not wanting to do this sort of gritty bullshit, Spring Courtier was forced to act.
Knock
Knock
Knock
This place wasn’t his vibe, but subtle skimming of the right crowds, plying of the right hands, and being Lost didn’t exactly make the task impossible.
“Hello? Is there a secret password?”

Angel should have been unsurprised when he was asked to assist in this matter. And he was to a degree. Narcotics were his thing. Something knew intimately. Still. It felt nice being useful for once. ‘I wonder if they will need my more...fun talents.’
Coming to Rowan’s door, he saw Archie, the man who sent him an email. Giving a quick nod, he waited with him.

Finn had gotten the lead - invitation? - to come look into an issue with Fae Narcotics. He'd worked with Rowan before, but even so getting the request had been something of a surprise. Between that issue last Fall and the Yule party he really wasn't sure where he stood with the man. Still, it seemed his help was needed, and more specifically his expertise in investigation and narcotics. He wouldn't say no.
Despite that, or perhaps because of it, there had been that small, quiet voice in the back of his head ever since he'd decided to show up. You don't need to be here, it said, this isn't your job anymore.
But they need me. This is different.
It was never your job in the first place. You stole it and then you failed to keep it.
Finn knocked hard, harder than he needed too, but it cut the voice off. He had a job to do.

Agrippa made their way up to the room gingerly. It wasn't exactly their first go around a situation like this, but it was the first time they were invited on such a mission here, in Vegas. And invited by Rowan, no less... they weren't sure exactly what to expect. But it wasn't like they were going to turn him down- they still had a reputation to build here, after all. Maybe, if this all went swimmingly, it could even make up for the awkward circumstances surrounding their first meeting. That alone would be worth the price of admission. Getting to the door, they found they weren't the first arrival.
"Evening."
They flashed a grin at the others waiting at the door.

The Darkling looked around those who had showed up. There were more that he ever dared to hope and he was starting to feel overwhelmed. He quickly blew into his hands as a nervous gesture before nodding to no one in particular.
"Right. Thank you for showing up. I'm Rowan, but I suppose you guys already knew that. I invited you because I need your help dealing with Rose Water."
He went to the cork board and pinned a flash card in the middle of it, a flash card that read Rose Water. "So far, I know that it's a supernatural drug that mixes chemicals with Glamour. When Normies, sorry, when normal people take it, it causes euphoria, followed by rapid onset withdrawal in the form of depression and suicide." He added those words to the board.
"Someone bypassed the proper chains of gang command to distribute it. I know that both the Cartel and the Crips moved it, and the Wah Ching may be involved." He added the gangs to the board, tying the Cartel and the Crips to the drug with red thread. The Wah Ching was left on its own for now. "Lastly, I have reason to believe that someone from the Spring Court is behind all this. It's purely theory at this point, but I think it had to be said." He looked at Archie and Agrippa, making them understand that was why they were here.
"I'm in over my head, and I need your help in dealing with this. Leaving it alone is how we get Hunters."

The meeting gathered, it was quaint, as in not a very nice place to meet. If Archie had been given more of a heads up he could have booked a conference room at the Holiday Inn or something. It would have given them somewhere nice to sit, probably some complimentary pastries. It would have been a good time. And they could have had way more power point.
Archie got the information as presented, with a huh, and an ohh, and then a raised eyebrow.
“So wait, before we get going are you insinuating that because there may be a gleam of Emerald you need to bring along a couple of your own? Color me curious about what that may accomplish? Is this some sort of ‘aha, gotcha moment’ or am I missing something?”
Curious indeed, if not weirdly stereotyped.
“Anyway, I have had some brushes with this stuff. One producer, Wakeman’s Storage Facility, off Industrial. Have heard names like Lucky and Spears thrown around as well. But hey, if you didn’t have an address I have that going for us. I am also deft at avoiding conflicts if it comes to it. If any of this is useful or relevant”

Angel was silent for a moment. Using his brain to rack his memory on which of the locals would be selling and why this area.
“Have some insight to this.” He muttered, rubbing his peach-fuzz of a beard.

Finn considers for moment. If the supplier was bypassing normal gang protocol to get this out there could be a pretty strong reaction. "Have any of the gangs reacted to this situation? They don't take kindly to people trying to buck the supply lines. Standard tactic here would be to find someone low down on the supply chain, your average street corner dealer, and put pressure on them. Work your way up the chain." Of course, that rarely worked. At some point the dealers were more afraid of their boss than the cops, and enough of the cops were corrupt, so the drug lords came down on you from both ends. Still, it was worth mentioning to see what had been done.

Agrippa shook their head at Archie's question regarding the accusations of their court. The gesture was half dismissal, half disapproval
"I think the idea is we may know the inner workings of our court better than someone outside of it. Recognize names, faces, other things... It isn't as if the crime is completely out of line with the local influences. I'd put us on the suspect list too."
They then turned a thoughtful frown to Rowan
"Now I know you said it was completely theory, but if there are specific names or bits of evidence that makes you suspect a member of Spring, we might be able to connect enough dots here and now to give you a solid lead..."

"The Cartel retaliated at the Crips a while back, I know that much," he answered Finn. "This time too, they were made aware of the competition. There's a man named Vásquez who seems to be involved in the distribution, but he was told to not react to it by an unknown woman."
He then turned to Archie and Agrippa. "Agrippa has the right of it. We need to present some ties between Spring and the chemist and I might miss something relevant. The Crips that I was just talking about were hauled in a warehouse with weapons they had stolen from the Cartel. Thing is, the weapons actually belonged to Sweeney, the Arrayer of Distant Thunder. The Sun Banisher sent some people to recover them. Both are in a motley with Eurydice, who occupies a pretty important position in Spring - she's the one with ties to the Cartel. My contact says that it's unlikely that Fawkes was the target, or Sweeney. This is likely a declaration of war from a Changeling. Has to be - the Glamour in Rose Water comes from somewhere. Eurydice is simply the most likely target."
He added the relevant info to the board.
"I have a Contract that can help me figure out who bottles this stuff, but I didn't want to go at it alone."

Angel suddenly perked up at the mention of a name. “Jordan Spears. Crip dealer. Eyedrops. Well liked. Disappeared. Cartel maybe. We can find. Lean on.” He nodded, his eyes clear for once. “Can get info.”

“Okay, so what I am hearing is...We got a vague profile of the culprit at hand - likely a rogue Emerald. We have their motivation, likely to take down Eurydice. We have a where provided by yours truly. So last but not least is we are going to use a contract to hopefully figure out who bottles this stuff and then we are going to…”
He paused for a moment, blinking and looking around. “Storm that place? Mission Impossible it? I mean no judgement, I am just trying to make sure we are on the same page. This Wonderful Wizard of Rose Water, we just getting a name and handing them over to the Spear or are we going to go Kung-Fu. I did do karate when I was younger so you know.”
Shrug as he waited to hear what the larger assessment was while he mused on the facts. Strong King - ArchieToday at 5:05 PM

"What contact?" Finn asks snapping his eyes up from his notebook. "And how?" He wasn't really comfortable with this situation. He didn't know who most of these people were or what their goal was. It felt a little like he was heading off the track, off duty and all that. But if he'd learned anything in the past few months, it was that none of the old rules applied. The Spring lead seems solid, but the whole thing felt scatter-shot. Unorganized. It was hard to work with.
"Ok," he says, pressing the end of his pen into his temple, "Let's sort this all out. There's this thing between the Cartel and the Crips. You think it's related? Why and what's the lead?" He doesn't pause for a response. "Jordan Spears." He glances to Archie - he didn't know the name yet but they'd said something about it. "Heard mention? How? And," turning his gaze on the oddly laconic one among them. "Who is this? He's a dealer and he's missing. Since when? Any circumstances? You say you can find him even though he's gone. How?"
"Rowan," He continues addressing their host. "You asked me on this for a reason. I can think of two: muscle or investigation. Which is it, or is it both? You have a lead but don't want to go alone. Tell me everything you know about this link in the production chain. You want my help. I want to give it, but I need more."
