The Pearl Concert Theatre was located in the Palms Casino Resort, boasting accommodations for up to 2,500 ticket holders. The stage itself was just four feet from the floor, with the farthest seating area being a mere 120 feet from the stage, with intimate viewing one of its premier selling points. Private and semi-private skyboxes were located on each side of the venue offering private bars, lounges and restrooms. Currently the last of the performers were trickling out after two rounds of auditions for one of the upcoming shows. The producers were focusing on new talent, which led to explosive applications that ultimately had to be gatekept to those in the Know, moving locations and not revealing where one was expected to arrive until the last minute. For the Lost, it was coming as close as they can to a dream, if the naiveté of true fame had not been properly snuffed by an Onyx whisper. Attention could often be demonized, though Court alignment had influence on that particular opinion. There were even whispers of actors and models making it in LA, despite Winter being in power. They clearly knew how to pull it off, so why not the entertainment capital? Apollo sat on the edge of the stage, fiddling with a social media account that wasn't his, glowing eyes contracting to slits as he squinted at the trending event. A couple of them had ended up as generic faces in the background. Nothing for a Sun Banisher to complain about. Had anyone stood out?

The salmon jacket and pants were really something when paired with the baby blue shirt beneath, and the purple and pink checkered pocket square in the beast pocket of the shirt. Brown oxfords scuffed against the floor as he wandered along, head down, buried in his own phone, with music blaring to one Apple brand airpod he had in, and someone did a ridiculous dance on his screen prompting him to laugh a little as he stopped right by where.
“Hell of a show wasn’t it? I mean not really since it wasn’t even a show yet. So hell of a what may eventually be a show consisting of some of these people, am I right?”
Archie gave a pearly smile as he looked up at his fellow member of the community.
“Now the rat race starts, figuring out who wants what, and who wants more.”
He gave another jovial laugh at the excitement of the whole thing.

Riley had waited near the back of the Auditorium after their audition. Watching, appreciation, and learning from those who came before and after the darklings show. Their own performance had been adequate in the darkling's eyes. It had felt like an average night at one of the clubs. The wisp had hoped for more, but a stage of that size had thrown the Moth for a loop. Penciled mustache, hair slicked back and eye brilliant lavender eye shadow were the lasting remains of the performance of Lady Jack-Off audition. Riley made their way down towards the stage where Apolo and Archie had just gathered.
"Quite the show all around I'd say. Any favorites of yours, Archie?" The darkling asked their fellow spring courtier as they got closer. Before raising a hand in greeting to him and Apollo.

Oren was electric. Bones buzzing. Eyes shining. There was nothing quite like laying yourself bare, even if you were clothed in someone else's life and circumstances. It was esoteric, to say the least. Not pretentious. Subtle. One could even say undulating. Equal parts death knell, love confession, and religious epiphany. All the zeal of Godspell, but with none of the trappings of the genre. Of course, it was for an operata, of all things. Something new. It excited him. When it was all said and done, he finally took notice of the company he kept. He watched all of their performances; felt their pain, triumph, and hope. He wished them all the best. Break a leg..."Hey, hey, hey."
Oh! Apollo was here. And others. All very pretty. "Henrietta left me...wanting. Which, for me, was a good thing! But I can see how others may find it lacklustre."

Apollo chuckled, absently picking at a fang with the nail of his pinky. "Holding auditions here is a bit of a flex, but we'll see," he mused. They were trying to drum up exclusivity while still leaking enough information to get the niche industry talking. A performer here and there would chatter about it to a powerful fan or friend over drinks and cocaine, and next thing they know they would start touring and pulling the numbers. The value of art was always subjective. Maybe the Fairest knew a little too much about it.
The sun-kissed elf had not performed himself, skulking around in the background as he managed media. Whether he had his own talent was up in the air, though Oren had seen his fancy acrobatics at the Summer party.
He nodded along with Archie's chatter. "That singer of yours is going to be eaten alive. Watch out for her," he said with an empathetic tone. She wasn't rockstar, but sounded well enough for gigs. The looks were enough to be tugged in a different direction with lavish promises; the early surgery bills and wide eyes reeked of desperation. He knew by now that having Archie as an agent wasn't a godly shield against the realities of the entertainment industry, but the guy wasn't going to let her get shuffled off to a hotel room with a bored gangster.
"That was a fun one, different," he offered to Riley. He respected that the dancer held onto their brand, though Drag wasn't going to land them any role. However, attracting attention from other potential witnesses and word of mouth already had the Moth's media receive an uptick of subscribers and questions.
Once the eager Adonis brought his energy over, Apollo finally put away the phone. "Most of the troupe thinks you're an addict or schizophrenic, but that's in right now," he laughed. "You did great, though-" he ticked his head to the side, unsure how to broach it. He was hoping the Elemental would have clued in by now, on his own. "With our situation, it's usually better to focus on dance or chorus. Being center stage gets your name in the paper and on the internet. We don't get invaded here, but Huntsmen can still...fuck with us."
Since getting recruited by an Entitlement of ruthless bounty hunters, the Fairest felt like he was becoming a bit of a buzzkill. His delivery was reluctant at best — rattling off a rhetoric like beaten soldier.

"See, that's the thing about niche. How can one be subtle without someone else being grand? Variety is the thing."
In truth, the role didn't need to be his. He was performing all the time. "Weighed against, the stars shine for themselves. I would simply make them more apparent." It all made sense, to him at the very least. He thought he was helping. "I was shooting for ecstatic. I'm glad that...resonated". Feedback was good. He would tear away what wasn't needed and lift what was essential. Apollo wasn't wrong though. It was rather careless of him. Still, he felt that he should try to clean up after himself.
"Sure thing, yeah. I get it. I'm down for whatever."

“You think I don’t understand flex’s, sir? Have you seen my wardrobe?”
Bazinga. “Riley, a pleasure as always, finally going to swing by my office so we can take some of this hustle and bustle out of your schedule. We can make great things happen, you and I, not to mention there is that wonderful discount I give to members of the community when it comes to my cut.”
It was always worth a shot in the dark to see if you hit a bullseye. Strong KingToday at 1:54 PM

@strong King rolled 8 dice and got 2 successes. 8 8 1 7 7 7 5 4 And you know what...He may sound less crazy than usual this time at least! “Oh, don’t worry about that shiksa, she is in her car crying after that. Thought she did horribly. Stage isn’t her thing, but she wanted to chase the dream you know? In the end I couldn’t be happier, this flex really put the nails in the coffin that come voices are better left to studios.”
He shrugged despite sounding somewhat callous about the whole thing. “But, it's better to break these things to them early than let them waste away, move to New York to make it on Broadway and end up as some Waitress in a janky chinese food place on Christmas day. But there is some promising young faces that aren’t going to get picked up probably ripe for the picking for someone who can show them the way!”
Things carried on par for the course, Oren’s performance was critiqued in its own way. “Listen to the man, he has a point. Besides all the real magic happens in the background, fairy godmother style.” He produced a card from his inside jacket pocket and offered it across to Oren with this info and of course: Have A. Hart ❤ “If you ever need someone to help with that…”
He waved his open palmed hand at the man as if casting spell “Talent, hit me up, we’ll have lunch, know a great soup and sandwich spot"

Apollo was right. The spring courtier had come with that expectation after all. But even without a chance to get into the show, it did have its benefits
Riley raised an eyebrow as Archie produced a card and handed it over. "thought comedians were your thing?" They said half teasing.
Glancing down at their card, in one hand and their cellphone which had several new notifications from social on it gave the darkling pause.
No harm in trying, right? "I'll swing by some time, grab a bite as you say and chat" Riley placed the card in their pocket and stashed their phone.
The bright one turned their attention towards Oren for a moment.
"Hey, great audition earlier. I'd say you got ecstatic" The brightone in fact was not sure if they should offer a hand, Oren's energy from the show and his approach was enough that Riley half thought he could blow a fuse by touching it.

At Oren waxing poetic, he snorted. "Humble, too." Done with sitting still for more than a minute, the Fairest moved to fiddle with the stage set-up, idly twirling the microphone as he listened to Riley. He was clearly familiar with the equipment. "What have you been up to, anyway? I heard you swore vassalage...?" The cat eyes focused for a moment on the Elemental, missing gossip with his harried schedule. Maybe the flashy Darkling would contribute.
At Archie's comment on the stage not being for the girl, but letting her come to the conclusion herself in a safer environment, Apollo nodded with a sardonic smirk. Agents usually grated on him, but the Spring was likeable with all his disarming self-deprecation to mask the Unicorn preening. The man loved positive attention and tended to crumple to peer pressure; given the testing Apollo had witnessed with the other Emeralds targeting the newbie.

"I am a vassal of the arts, Apollo, in the Court of AMDA and the Upright Citizen's Brigade."
It was dismissive, but it was nonetheless in-character. Flighty. In a world where it was...proving difficult to be taken seriously, it was altogether easy to make light of the heavier topics, especially where inter-Court espionage was involved.
And the best part was, he wasn't lying.
He took Archie's card. Pocketed it. "Much appreciated. Lunch sounds lovely. We. Will. Be. In. Touch."
You strike me to be the type that doesn't like people knowing you like pinot noir, and so you say you prefer Malbec.

“Riley, the only thing that is my thing is diet Doctor Pepper, everyone can agree its awful and I still always make sure I have a few bottles on hand because it is oh so fantastic to have a glass of the fizz at the end of the day. Beyond that I try to keep an open mind in case because who knows if it's an opportunity knocking, right?”
He added a small laugh, turning to Oren who took his card, and offered quite the expressive tone. If Archie was a man of assumptions he would be assuming that this man was more the flame than the moth. He simply nodded and smiled back.
“I’ll call that a deal, look forward to having a sit down.”
He wasn’t going to push the matter, but if he was lying, then Archie could only hope the wyrd would handle the dispensation of misfortune regarding the flouncing of even a petty promise. Maybe a stubbed toe, plenty of karma for the Spring.
“So, must have been a discount on theatre’s for you to be able to get this place just to putz around for auditions, hmm?”

RIley chuckled as the management on a side tangent regarding his love for diet Dr.Pepper.
“Can’t say I share the love for the doctor. But I will take you up sometime” never heard to ask. In fact any opportunity was better than nothing. Dispite being on to play it cool they couldn't help but smile at Archies offer.
Riley crossed their arms looking to Oren and his dramatic flair with a smirk. The Darkling playfully rolled their eyes at Oren’s Statement regarding Vasalage to the arts.
“Ah such a fickle liege. Art , never can quite figure what she wants”
Riley put two hands on the stage and pulled them self up on to its lips. Turning to take a sit and cross their legs. The moth glanced back towards Apollo adding their two cents to his question.
“ Things been exciting around the freehold from what I hear. Assassination attempt at Mabon I hear. Than some fight during Samhain?” The moth kicked their legs slightly.
“But more excitingly is life around the strip. Competitive and exciting as always. Been busy putting this show together?” RIley asked Apollo, adding on to Archies observation.

The Fairest shrugged, "If you're waffling I could give you a rundown of your options sometimes," he offered while dropping the subject. Archie's statement is met with a faraway look as he stares at the empty seats, brow pinching as Riley adds to the consideration,
"Oh, my show? No I just...know people; from when I did the whole performing thing." Apollo seemed to mull it over, "Did I just let myself get swindled into stage management? The bastard."
He then glided to park next to the Bright One, leaving the Elemental to be lonely with mystery.
"Right? With the new guy- heard he bailed on LA, actually, but Hermia won't talk on it. Which absolutely says something." He leaves out the fight about Mabon, grinning sheepishly.

“Really a wonderful thing to think about isn’t it. Big wig with a big footprint ousted from the city of glitz and glam comes to a smaller, equally shiny, but far grimier city to lay his claim. Listen I hate to be a real person here but I think this reeks of the current trends that have been rippling through the City of Angels, and I don’t necessarily mean in the particularly normie ways.”
Archie put his hands up and shrugged, a motion that he was just calling it as he saw it.
“Plus no one is cash rich anymore, let's be honest, so just uproot and make the change? That is a lot of forethought and not just a whim. Be the same thing if Steven Spielberg decided he wanted to just live in Sin City all of a sudden. So don’t color me up to date on any and all gossip, because I am more a TMZ than a We-MZ guy, but if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, why is it in the middle of the Nevada desert?”
He didn’t like gossip, he actually loved it. It was always best to play your hand like having to endure such talk was not your favorite though - it really did make you feel trustworthy and even sympathetic. If they decided to think that about you...Why correct them? It wasn’t like you told them you were!
“Is the financier anyone of note? I just saw the casting call and noticed it was more than a vinyl couch so I mean, shame on me? But color me curious who is footing this one Mr. Stage Manager.”

"Wonder what he might be hiding," the Fairest agreed, before literally biting his tongue. It wasn't really in the Iron Spear's interest to get into high politics, let alone a member of an infamous Murder Squad. Archie seemed to absolutely love talking, and he was flanked by a Darkling and a shapeshifter being coy about his Summer party preferences.
"Financier? Nimbus, like usual," he shrugged, "It's not really a secret he's behind most Changeling entertainment ventures. No bullshit either he just likes culture, so I like working with him." He left out that the Knight of Rains was a notorious flake, and needed to be pestered constantly to remember projects he had hyped up himself. Maybe being a mist Elemental was like literally having your head in the clouds all the time.
