Ivory remained seated as Riley waved away her offer to leave the pair to themselves. Her look towards the Darkling is almost warm, with their comment of 'more the merrier' drawing an impish smile on the Dragon's face.
Then came Firebringer's stumbling admission that they had misinterpreted her meaning and the Fairest allowed herself to laugh brightly as the Spear spoke of Spring's focus on pleasure. "Come now," she teased, "You would find the gutter is a fine place to be." The dragon's expression turned almost sultry for a moment before softening once more. "But suit yourself."
As the Sentries are referenced, Ivory finally spares their honored guests a glance.
Thinking on Firebringer's question, however, Ivory finds herself unable to truly articulate what they were. She knew they were part of Freehold. And important, but scant little else.
"They are... a part of the Freehold," she answers, "And under no circumstances should you grant one a name. I know little more than that, I'm afraid."

Riley observed the Sentries who wandered the gathering, with a flat distant gaze. The moth seemed to zone out, as the pale reflection of the sentries moved across their obsidian eyes.
The ethereal beings elicited a merging of contrary emotions within Riley’s gut. There was a faint nagging of something that felt familiar but couldn't recall it, the memory just beyond reach. The Bright one couldnt help but also feel a perhaps comforting connection to them, relatable in the glow and androgynous form. Yet over both of those feelings a sensation alien and discomfort and unease was smeared over them. It was not a collection of feelings that the Darkling liked.
There was the dizzying echo of voices and music, distorted by a chorus of clicking.
The moth blinked their inky black eyes as they came back to the present of the gathered feast.
“Uh- yeah.“ The comment was delayed as their mind processed what the Pale Dragon said.
“No names, right. I am not the only one who that little detail is discomforting...right?”
They said glancing at the other two for a moment, hoping that one of them shared a similar sentiment.

Another blush comes to the Elemental's face and she shakes her head with a laugh, "You two kill me."
She does continue to watch those beings however and they give her the complete creeps. It is enough to send a bit of a shiver down her spine, which feels weird given her fiery aura. "Okay, cool. Like not giving Dobby a sock. Got it."
She looks over to Riley and nods, "They're definitely freaking me out." She more than echoes the Moth's feelings on the matter.
"You okay?" She asks Riley, not sure how they are feeling and at this point and not wanting to guess. If the moth wanted to share, they would.

The dragon gave a noncommittal shrug as each of her compatriots speak. She tried to hide her own feelings of their surroundings, but her mask cracked. Concern and discomfort colored her features, the heavy hang of Autumn visibly affecting her, some of it seemed directed at the Sentries, but it seemed Ivory did not find much of the greater atmosphere to her liking. Beyond her initial glance, Ivory chose not to look upon the androgynous guests of the Leaden Mirror or their caretakers, refocusing her energy on her immediate surroundings.
"There is a power in names," she offers as Riley mused of the need for the Sentries to remain nameless, "I'm sure they operate under different rules than normal people. Just as we do, though perhaps not for the same reasons... I don't pretend to know."
A glint of sympathy hit the Pale Dragon's features as the pair before her echoed discomfort.
"Their time here is brief," she offers, her voice briefly lilting in an attempt to offer some comfort, "And they seem to be sticking around the Mirror. All is well."
She believed that. She had to. The Sentries may be unknown quantities to the Pale Dragon... but she doubted those who ministered over them more directly were likewise in the dark.
Her piece given, she granted the pair an uneasy smile. Lifting her glass the Fairest drained a healthy drink from her cosmopolitan. Then, directed as they were by Firebringer's question, the soft glow of Ivory's golden eyes landed squarely on Riley. The freehand of the dragon moved, inching closer to the Darkling before Ivory paused, uncertainty creeping across her face. The hand was then retracted. Perhaps a physical touch was not appropriate. After all, Ivory new very little of the stylish Bright One.
"Find comfort in company, Riley," she says, granting some light wisdom, "I know that I am."
Wisdom and a compliment? Ivory may be unsteady, but the dragon was still there and, despite the uncertainty, composed. To a point.

“Oh ha! Sorry, zoned out.” They smiled with a hint of sheepishness behind it.
“You know the whole, shiny things,” They say, gesturing to their eyes a little. “Lamps and all that”
They chuckle slightly bemused by the self acknowledging humor. A younger, fresh form the hedge Riley would have taken issue with the moth joke. But time and experience had eased Riley in comfort to their new form. Now they even got a kick dropping moth jokes around mortals for their own amusement.
“That's why it's off putting.“ Riley commented on Ivory's mention of names. The moth knew the power of names, even before being taken. There was a sick sense of sarcasm to that twist of fate.
Their eyes tracked the hesitant reach out to the darkling. The Bright One took a glance to the dragon, noticing a crack, in her proverbial regal scales of demeanor.
“Truly, fine company.” Riley responded with a nod to Firebringer and turned to Ivory. The moth ran their hand lightly down the dragon's arm, the crystalline tips of the gauntlet cold to the touch. Maybe overly bold, but the Moth took the rescinded hand of Ivory as a cue.
Riley's head turned swiftly, a glint in their eyes. Their energy lifted, as if to pull the three from the serious of the moment.
“Let the Mirror have them. we don't need any sentries here. Should problems arise, we have a firecracker here!” Riley says with a teasing tone to Firebringer.
“We may kill you, but it will be in the best of ways. And where better to meet such a fate, than sin city itself!” Riley grinned before taking another drink.

Firebringer nods, "Might be interesting to find out. But then again, some things are better left unknown."
She watches the exchange between Ivory and Riley with curiosity, wondering what it all means, but she doesn't dwell too long on it. She wonders what the real relationship is that exists between the two.
"Oh, yeah, don't worry. I'm pretty good with a punch. Though, I get the feeling you two are not damsels beyond beauty," She says with a chuckle, "I'll bet you two can hold you own. Of course, if you can't, I certainly have got your back,"
She laughs even more, "Hey, if I'm gonna die, it might as well be in a blast of glory. I'm good with it." She finishes up her drink, a persistent blush settling upon the tiny Ifrit's cheeks. The light buzz of the alcohol and the further warmth gives her a bit of joy.
"You know what is a mystery I'd like to solve at some point? How my mien doesn't just make all alcohol explode around me."

Ivory flinched lightly at the touch, though it was clear from the light gasp that this had more to do with the sudden coldness she experienced than anything else. Once she was acclimated, the Pale Dragon seemed quite content with the touch, offering Riley a soft smile at her compliment.
The smile widened slightly as Riley turned and pulled the talk away from more serious musings in their own playful manner.
At the comment regarding her capabilities, Ivory chuckled.
"Yes... some skills have a habit of sticking around don't they?" she offered, gilded eyes landing on her own claw-like nails. However, the gaze is brief, lest it bring about visions of shattered memories. Instead, she lifted her glass to her lips, granting Firebringer an impish smile as she joked of her Mien.
"Well, I've heard that the greatest key to solving any mystery is more data," Ivory joked, "I'd say the best thing we can do is continue our... research? Maybe! Just maybe, your Mien needs something more potent. So... Shots?"
Was it Samhain? Yes. Were their strange ethereal beings about? Yes. Did the Autumn Court terrify the Freehold at Mabon to make a point against the Antler Crown? Very likely.
However, how did they expect the Season of Desire to respond? Clearly the response to this uncomfortable, foreboding experience was to dull one's sense and rediscover the pleasure of the moment!
Tonight would be a pleasant evening, the Leaden Mirror be damned.

The Moth raised an eyebrow, their antenna perking in the curiosity of the mention of Data. They weren't sure where Ivory was going but once the offer of shots came to the table, Riley clapped their hands together with a satisfying ring. "Now that's an experiment I am all for!"
Alcohol and playing with fire? What could go wrong! A small excited buzz ran up their spine at the sudden rush of excitement. Riley waved over for the bartender before looking to Firebringer and Ivory.
"What we think? Vodka? or maybe a bourbon or whisky? Those might have a little more fuel to them"
"Unless your scared-" Riley nearly goaded the elemental to try and seal the deal. However the temptation to throw a different kind of fuel on to the fire was abated by a better sense of judgment.
"What's your poison of choice?" A safer approach.

The Ifrit laughed a bit, "Hey! We should go to battle sometime. A little roughhousing builds closeness - at least, that's how the Summers do it," then again, she is talking to Springs who have already been making advances that she isn't sure are advances, but she also can't be sure entirely that they aren't. The frustration. Not that I uh... need that kind of thing. Cough. Damn, did you just think cough. You weirdo.
Firebringer raises her eyebrows with a mischievous smile, "Yeah, let's do it!" Not that she actually expected much of anything to actually happen, but fuck yeah to shots. "I am a whiskey kind of girl, personally. Me and Jim Bean hang." Reminded her suddenly of the Winter she used to hang around. A bottle of apple whiskey constantly in her purse. She never did find out what caused her to be like that.
"Pfffft," She says, chuckling towards Riley, "Oh, darling, I'm not scared of anything at this point." It's probably the first time she actually seems like a proper Summer with fire in her glowing orange and blue eyes. "Bring it on," She gives Riley a flirtatious wink.
By the time she's said that, she's already walking to the bar, "What do y'all want?" She asks, a jolt of straight confidence about her.

Ivory raised an eyebrow at Firebringer's suggestion of a brawl.
"Oh, I don't know. I doubt you'd find my company in that arena... pleasant," she offered. The idea of fighting for fun seemed foreign to the Dragon... and it was not a side she was known to show often.
For a moment it seemed Ivory would wax into a more dour cast, but, once again, Ivory was saved from her own mind by the machinations of Riley, as they stoked the fire Ivory had sparked. In response to the moth's promotion of the 'experiment', Ivory smiled, a warmth arising on her cheeks as she finally began to feel the alcohol in her system. Years of regular drinking had gifted her with a higher tolerance than her slight form suggested, but she was already a couple cocktails in. Taking in the moment, she relaxed in her chair, a hand raising to slip stark white hairs behind an ear as she allowed herself to slip into this new state.
Golden eyes remained on the moth for a long moment, before finally flitting over to the Ifrit. As Firebringer affirmed her interest, the Pale Dragon beamed, her smile spreading to a bright grin, her fanglike canines glinting subtly in the light of the lounge... though the influence of Autumn may well have cut it in a more sinister light than the tipsy Fairest had intended. Nonetheless, she was oblivious.
"I like my poisons varied," she mused. The statement seemed half to herself, as the dragon remained aware that the question was offered to the Summer in their company.
However, Firebringer's confident response - and her flirtation towards Riley - easily garnered the attention of Ivory, who watched the Darkling in turn with some eagerness. How would they respond to the Elemental's challenge?
Then came the Elemental's question: "What do y'all want?"
"So much," she replied, her tone waxing playful, "but for now? Booze. Any booze is good."

"Sounds like three whiskies all-around," Riley said with a pleased grin. They spun on their heels back to the bartender, that grin still present. "Three whisky shots, top-shelf. One with an extra burn." The Bright One stated their cheeks already red from the two cocktails prior. The Darkling turned back to the other two before there was the roar of a familiar voice, Linden The Darkling blinked and glanced out towards the pool to just catch the splash of the Ogres dive. "Holy shit they were first-" Riley had half expected the Bouncer to do so when they spied them earlier in the gathering. Yet there was still a moment where Riley's gut dropped as the reality of the Autumn festivities. What are in those waters? Would Linden be okay? Of course Linden is tougher than a brick wall. "well, shit." they muttered. The clink of the shot glasses on the bar pulled the Darkling back to the moment. They flashed a grin. "Someone had to start the party right?" Grabbing a shot glass they raised the liquid courage for a toast. Awaiting the other two, Riley winked before stating. "Got to keep eye contact when you tap glasses before shots. They say if you don't, its seven years of bad sex"Riley glanced between the two, taking a step forward to get closer to them both. Easier to make eye contact instead of going crossed eyed. "Three people makes that tough." they joked. Before shooting back the whisky. Gritting their teeth they paused, a wave of warmth shot through their body. A slight waver in their stance. The whisky did its job, courage, at the cost of inebriation.

Firebringer watches Riley as they watch the Ogres diving into the pool. She didn't know them yet, so she wasn't the most interested. Then she thought about how creepy the waters were and she began to worry for the poor things.
She gazes over at Ivory with a laugh, "So much, huh? Interesting." Again, a wee flirt. Maybe she was beginning to get more comfortable.
The elemental takes the shot of whiskey, grinning as she watches the Moth with hers, "Oh, shit. Well, we can't have that, can we?" Seven years of bad sex? No thank you. "Bottoms up!" She taps glasses with them, doing her best to keep eye contact with both her and Ivory at the same time.
She downs her drink in one go, gritting her teeth and shaking her head as the burn of it tickles her throat. "Oh shit. That burn is harsh in the best way," She laughs, a small cough escaping her throat. Underneath her skin seems to burn brighter in response.
Her cheeks burn a hint red, but as it turns out, her tolerance is much better than thought.
"You okay over there, Riley?" She asks, noticing the waver in their stance. Not that Danica was far off. "Is our lovely moth a bit tipsy?"

Ivory heard the yell and the splash of course, but the approach of glasses and booze stalled her glance. Thus she spared only a look at the water as it rippled. No one seemed overly concerned. Yet.
"What's the point in living if you aren't chasing something?" Ivory offered as Firebringer quipped, "I just like my little hunts varied and plentiful."
The comment of bad sex elicited a small snort from the Pale Dragon, but she declined to comment, instead meeting her glass with each of her compatriots.
The cheers completed Ivory knocked back the whiskey and sailed smoothly into sweet, comfortable inebriation, right after making a bit of a face at the strong taste and aroma. Nonetheless, an easy smile quickly returned to Ivory's lips as she returned to surveying her current company. The Pale Dragon's posture in the chair became more loose and casual, resting an elbow idly on the bar top as the hand cupped her cheek. THe shot done Ivory's idle hand returned to her cocktail, fingers lightly touching the stem.

"I can take that back for you!"A passing pale beast in a pastel suit raised a hand in an attempt to get Firebringer's attention. "I'm on my way to the bar anyways."They smiled disarmingly- their boldness might've suggested this was a return trip, but they were standing straight and had no empty glass in-hand.

"Tipsy?" Riley said while easing back into the chair. "Well, likely yes" The admitted. It was hard denying the fact that they were tipsy, if not a little more than that.
"Well, the alcohol did not explode on this test round. " Their tone suggested a mild disappointment. "I guess experiments will be ongoing."
Looking to the Pale Dragon the Darkling nodded at the suggestion of chasing something. Purpose, drive, need. It's why any of them were here, right? It's what got them out of there.
"Or being chased." Added the Moth in a light flirtatious manner to Ivory. The darkling, however, was blissfully unaware of the cruel irony that statement held.
"Certainly a different kind o-" They paused as the new spring Courtier approached. The face of the singled horned individual softened and dappled by vibrant colors of light, which in the heavy Mantle of autumn that draped over the venue, felt like it cast long shadows.
After taking the angelic Unicorn in a pastel suit in, Riley turned to Fire Bringer with a teasing stare over the new addition.
