Riley let out a gasp as the serpent dove; the great mass ricocheted off the collective stones, sending it careening from its original path. Riley clung to the stone, keeping their center of gravity low. The world around them spun sickeningly as their platform tumbled. The twilight Dancer was no stranger to spinning. It was a daily occurrence from years of dance and work in the clubs. They took a deep breath and focused their eyes on a distant center point; with each spin, they reoriented, locking on to the point till they acclimated to the motion. Riley
Riley found their center of gravity, rising to their feet and riding the stone's motion. Scanning the debris field, they calculated their next move through the path. They were so close, to be beyond the world eater. Invisible to its eye site, and blown into the debris gave the moth the unique advantage of being nearly impossible to track. They just needed to land the next few leaps.

The platform Riley is on is jettisoned closer to the Road, with a split-second opening to leap to their target.

Perhaps it was training or some lingering insect-like instinct from there; Riley saw their opening and didn't think twice. They shifted their weight, left, right, and forward. Pushing themself at the last moment from the tumbling stone.
They glided past one stone, landing on another before getting a running start and leaping.
They stuck the landing; the Darkling had reached the road.

Its prey absent from the mind, and no means to reveal the lies of the Fae, the great serpent continued to wind and twist through the cosmos and return back to its earlier business.
A minute passes, with the Head Hunter emerging from the dust further down the road, clicking and ringing its collection of bones as it searched for its mark once more. The way forward was being consumed, but the Hob knew the way.

The darkling wished briefly they had the means and abilities that the Hobs seemed to hold. But the thought quickly passed.
Moving forward they dropped the contract of Light shy.
"Ah'rite. Lead the way" They glance back at the World eater, before falling in step behind the Head hunter.

The road turned to sand, but as Riley began to trudge through it, they realized it was abrasive and sharp to the touch. Finding the bone it had left to mark, The Head Hunter started to dig, ignoring the glass biting into its wood as glamour wove and the silica swirled around it. Eventually the blasted remains of a bunker entrance was revealed. The Hob appeared to be building power, either to assist Riley or rip open the door itself.

They did their best to ignore the glass, stepping back from the digging hob reflectively to avoid the spray.
A Bunker? The androgynous illuminated avatar sighed.
"Of course, it's a bunker."
The moth glanced up and down the door and eyed the surface that spread to either side. Were there further walls, fox holes, or holes that defenders may attack? Who knew what laid beneath the sea of glass. This bastion was locked up, knowing Fawkes would defend itself with lethal force.

Location and physical space was only imagined here. Thus, the Darkling's consciousness is bent and slid along the boundaries of a brief world that spreads across the domain like a web. No soldiers or doomsday preppers—eidolons revealed themselves, disquieting the moth at the sheer wasteland they were confronted with. Then the screech of violent strings and layered harmonies, split across fractured layers; with Riley receiving a vision of reality cracking like a shattered mirror, tearing reality limb from limb as meat sloughs and slides along the fault lines.
Sensing its goal in sight and nearing the end of Lucas' task, the Head Hunter was happy to start dumping its reserves and escape this oblivion of otherworldly predators that fed on imagination. It readies itself as it pries the door, assisting Riley.

This felt wrong, and a deeper part of Riley was ready to turn back now. However, Ben had visions had sent them here, bringing them to this moment. Their fate lingered beyond here, and they had to grab it, or it was lost forever.
"You gotta work with me, bud," they say before closing their eyes.
They began to sing a familiar song. The sound took on a luminous form, flutter and floating towards the wounds and tears of the Bastion. It sang softly, coaxing the Bastion to listen, for Fawkes to Listen.
It was one of the songs Riley worked with Fawkes during voice lessons. Simple, memorable, and best of all, Familiar. Fawkes and Riley were not friends by any stretch, but the Elemental should know by now Riley was at least not his enemy.

The door does rattle, the sound of someone cautiously knocking in response to Riley's singing.
The Hobgoblin works away, digging around and subtly altering the environment, before reality spun around the Bastion itself with its roots zigzagging through the sand and cracking through the concrete. Riley waited, holding the tune as the unknown eidolon started bashing desperately at the door, picking up speed until the metal of the entrance punctured as the structure bent, busting the door open.
Water immediately cascaded through, crashing against Riley as the Summon vanished with its task complete. Riley felt like they were being crushed—the weight and pressure plunging them underwater and threatening to drown. Breaking out took all of their focus, and they were found themselves in a chopping sea. The shore was likely a couple of minutes of swimming, unless they wanted to spend more magic to twist the Dream around them. Inside didn't match the outside, with the beach even seeming melted with oil slick colours, and they could see humanoid shapes gathered at the base of a cliff.
