Brunhilda nodded to all three of them, freely offering some harmless insight about the Elemental that would help both her client and Riley. "I ask because he's shown preference towards musicians and singers, and from my understanding used to be a mute?"
It could be a thread to lean on, given Fawkes' reputation alone without Riley's current status with the Silent Arrow.
Worm's expression was still pinched, doing his best to sound reproachful to Lucas, "Though I am not familiar with the Sunbanisher, I am an Autumn Courtier. I don't think his profile would suit Mx. Sorsa as an individual he would prefer to rely on for information, given the inherent prejudice of their situation and his predisposition towards...caution. I would also still need a safety plan before I would feel comfortable recommending any sort of interaction, written or otherwise." He also glanced at Riley,
"You would have to go on leave from your troupe for the season. I don't think it's realistic for you to maintain that sort of schedule with your mundane responsibilities." He was saying it out loud more for Lucas to consider than Riley. The Darkling struggled with organization and maintaining long term plans before the stress of Changeling society affected their mental health. Working with an obsessive Torrent with a paranoid streak and unforgiving violent justice felt unfair to him, and surprised Brunhilda was even entertaining it.

Riley listened to Lucas's suggestion nodding to Worms notes. It was the first thing the Darkling thought of, too; 3-4 nights a week while running evening shows was going to be exhausting, worse than their schedule already was. Not to mention what more strain that would put on the efforts to fix things with Firebringer.
The moth took a moment to take a breath. They didn't want to get prickly or ask for too much consideration on their part. They, after all, we're the ones needing to make amends. Beggars can't be choosers.
"Your Right; I couldn't do both. I could take a leave or step down. If need be," They say slowly, clearly thinking over the logistics of the efforts before them.
"Mute, you say?" Riley hadn't realized that but given their interactions with the Sunbanisher, it didn't surprise them; in fact, that made a few things make more sense. "I have a knack for music; it comes easier than other things," Riley said to Brunhilda before attention moves to Lucas.
"Perhaps. I could feed you information? You give it to Fawkes or whomever you choose, you receive the credit."
Riley wasn't sure if that fit what Lucas was looking for. The Darkling considered the political ramification if Lucas was able to aid Fawkes back into his role.

Lucas felt a flicker of anger at Worm's judgment towards Fawkes and the need for a safety plan to be put into place.
"Fawkes isn't some kind of wild dog that needs to be put on a leash with us jerking on a chain. He ended up in the hospital because he risked his life to protect all of us. "
Forcing a safety plan into place felt like a betrayal towards his friend. Although he would need to tackle this from a more logical place rather than emotional.
"Plus, if we circle back to this request, it brings us to the paranoia part and the fear of losing his job. If he learns that a safety plan had to be put into place in order for him to receive information, that's going to be even more harmful and further stigmatize his mental health. You're in essence stating he is an uncontrolled danger to others. How is that going to help eat away at the paranoia?"
He looked back over at Riley.
"That's my main plan. I'm going to try and help him become less paranoid. Once I can establish trust without that popping up it will make things easier. The big thing is I see push back if I don't tell him who it is. But I guess you can do that from a distance, eh? "
It still didn't sit right with him that a safety plan had been suggested. However, he had said his piece so he felt better in that regard, and this was an alternative he could work with. Riley was making a significant sacrifice by setting the troupe aside and leaving it. Vegas was merciless when it came to performers taking a break, there was always new talent right around the corner willing to do whatever it took to get a coveted spot.
"I'm open to you not having to meet with Fawkes in person unless it's something you freely want to do yourself while we're working on all of that. "
There was a pause as he eased up and attempted to add a little levity to the situation.
"I can carry a tune or too myself. Maybe we can turn this into a good old supernatural musical. "
A playful smile tugged on his lips and shone in his eyes to convey he was being facetious and not trying to have that written into the contract.

And therein lay true sacrifice. Brunhilda reviewed what Lucas had told her, what Worm had submitted, and the manner in which Riley was conducting themself.
Giving up their mundane career was giving up a once in a lifetime opportunity, and would taint their resume without the bridge of networking that would only come with the show running its circuit to the next project. The act meant that the Spring courtier's desire to make amends superceded their pride and empire.
The key component, however, was that Chevalier had repeatedly wrestled with what he wanted as a person and what the fae spirit demanded. If he wanted Riley to get better and do better, ending their mundane ties to assist in a very...specific...realm of duty that the average Freeholder could not maintain felt right and true, but to the Winter warden would ultimately upset her client with the variables.
Simultaneously, keeping to an alternative, such as asking Riley to share a secret with Fawkes instead of Sedna, could trigger something Lucas wasn't going to want for the Elemental. He was clearly looking to assist him rather than expand Winter's spy pool, as Fairests always would try.
Worm didn't react negatively to Lucas' admonishing, simply offering a soft nod and maintaining professionalism. Brunhilda gestured between Lucas and Riley.
"I think Mx. Sorsa's ties to performers in Vegas is a valuable network of knowledge. Observing and reporting from this realm they are familiar with will likely produce something of note. Rapport needs to come first for Mr. Fawkes to work with you, and I think the simple steps of assisting Mr. Chevalier in providing basic community would benefit all three of you. Continuing to assist the Sunbanishers like Spring has been assisting the Knight of Scales will naturally come from that. Does this appeal to you, Lucas?"
No safety plan, no negotiating Fawkes' trust with Riley's intent and reliability, no asking Riley to witness slaughter and dark magic while putting a bullet in their source of identity and expression. Instead their innate talents and connections would be put towards healing after showing a willingness to drop it all for forgiveness. Lucas would get what he is looking for, hopefully.

The Fairest weighted his options, honing in on the sense of betrayal to get a sense of how it felt at the offering. The intensity swelled up like a balloon and then it began to deflate. For a few he felt like he could breath again without the weight of betrayal hanging over him. When he studied Riley the betrayal still felt hot and powerful but simply looking at them didn't stoke the intensity like it had in the past.
He let out a sigh of relief before nodding his head in agreement.
"Yes, I can agree to those terms. "

The Twilight dancer nodded as Lucas agreed to the offer's terms. Riley looks to Worm, seeing to see if he was satisfied with the terms laid out. "We good?" They inquire.

Worm still seemed unsure, but ultimately the Pledgesmith would have to rely on an officer not abusing their rights to execution when Riley was not posing a threat to the safety of the Freehold.
There was a contingency put in place: if Fawkes refused to work with Riley despite everyone's best efforts, they would go back to the drawing board of bettering the community, and likely tag in the Bishopric of Blackbirds at that point. Riley would submit a political secret to his Knight as they had accidentally spilled to Sir Chugunkin to satisfy the scales of the Wyrd.
The meeting ended with a winding path towards the mad justice of the Fae.
