Wishes on dandelion seeds lazily weave and flow around the pattern of the Dancer's more ardent desires.
Whether it was the stronger current of the Wyrd tearing trenches through an average dream, or the brands that the Keeper had seared into the prison of an idea, Yuan's passive perceptions spin a sense of tragedy. The mentions of holding oneself back, and what Mitchell Carr might define as a fuckup were given a new layer of perspective as a crystal clear, alien disgust needled through the idea of limits.
It wasn't the simple desires one would find in a Torrent bemoaning reality's cage, but a deep seated, all encompassing need to overcome every minute and pathetic flaw of being human.
The chronic ticks and anxiety to the point of obsessive compulsive were inherently tied to the quiet ambition. With further reflection, it was an easy step to give into the temptation of reprieve that Arcadian detachment and madness provided.
"I don't think I'm a bad person," Mitch said, offering an easy shrug as he sat back again.

The full brunt of it hit his psyche, overwhelming the Beast with the sheer otherness of the Desire. He had expected something simple, like finding True Love or seeing one's children grow up. Not... this. For a split second he didn't know what to do. 'That doesn't matter right now, not when he's one bad day away from folding.' What mattered for now was to get the Fairest out of the red zone.
It was a soft push, barely a nudge to reorient the Arrow. His Desire Was His Own still, but it would maybe give Yuan some room to work with. The Desire to overcome limitation in order to transcend the human flesh should also include the kinks of the mind, shouldn't it? Whatever issues he was facing were also limitations after all.
Yuan got up and wrapped his hands around Mitch, gently pulling him back into the sheets. "There's still time. Come back to bed or you'll catch cold."
"Just for tonight, our demons can wait. Let me take care of you - I promised you a massage, didn't I?" Sometimes, a break was the best thing to regain perspective.
