As the Maker made her approach, the Pale Dragon's eyes flowed over her form, a coquettish smile upon her lips.
"Hey, Ramona," Ivory offered, gentle emphasis placed on the name as a subtle reminder for the others to have a care. Mundanes were among them. Some vigilance was required and public identities were needed.
The gilded gaze of the Pale Dragon remained on Wayland for a few long moments before Lucas' playful jab and voice carried her back to reality.
"I do?" she asked before recalling the events of Ostara, "Oh, yeah, that's fair. Well maybe tonight we'll get the chance."
THe thought, though, is derailed as Kai managed to ping the Spring with a line of water, causing a flinch and blink of surprise, before eyes shifted to take in the Olympian Polychromatic as she hinted at some intent for the night. Ivory would glance to Nimbus' entourage, uncertainty waxing unto her face. The idea of facing Nimbus - and Piper - again made the dragon nervous, considering her previous interaction. She understood how her reaction may have been less than polite, but she wasn't exactly sorry for what she said. That said, the idea of meeting Loki was an exciting one, as was the potential to touch base with Eurydice.
Then, like a cherry on top, her motley mate offered Ivory a little distraction before they had to deal with what had the potential to turn into a difficult discussion. It drew an easy smile from the Fairest, who in turn looked at the few gathered around her. None of them were Spring, but each had their own way of providing some small comfort to the sometimes-anxious Fairest. It was a nice experience.
Thus, at Kai's prompting for a little game of volleyball, the Pale Dragon slipped off her white swim cover, revealing her orange Burberry bikini beneath, before tossing the cover along with her sandal to the lounge chairs they had claimed.
Slipping into the water, the dragon would drift closer to Kai before looking to the two others at the poolside.
"You two joining?" she asked, her expression tinged with a challenge.

She can see it. The way Ivory’s eyes sweep across her body. Linger on her. She can feel the attention. And she’s watching the Dragon as she takes her measure. It brings a smirk to the Ogre’s lips. Confident. Not quite smug, but certainly pleased. Definitely an ‘I know you’re looking and I want you to know that I know,’ sort of expression. Her focus remains on Ivory until she has to reply to Lucas greeting her, and even then her eyes remain for a beat as she speaks before shifting towards him.
“Oh, hey Lucas. Been well, thanks.” Looking at him at her side, she gives him a little chin-dip of a nod. Her attention goes out to Kai in the water, smirk broadening into a smile at the Wizened’s antics, a hint of teeth showing between her lips. That’s cool, the easy camaraderie the two motley mates have. But her gaze is drawn back to Ivory as the Hunterheart slips into the pool, watching for a long moment, and then smiling at the challenge/invitation she offers.
She glances aside at Lucas, arching a brow playfully at him. As if to say ‘Well we can’t turn that down, now can we?’ “I’m up for a game,” she tells the two in the pool, and steps away towards where they’ve stashed their belongings. Steps out of her sandals, pulls her tank over her head and her board shorts off to reveal the swimwear she’s worn underneath. Those patterns of curling scars really do mark her all over. Then she pads back to the pool, going most of the way towards the pool’s edge before hopping in with a small splash.

Lucas watched Ivory and Wayland for a brief moment. His mind wandered on over to the brewing political tensions between the two courts. Knowing he was under Kai's watchful eye, he didn't scan the crowd. Last time he let his guard down for even the briefest of seconds, the Polychromatic had caught a glimpse into his uncertainty.
The Gravewight did his best to look unbothered by any of the thoughts stirring inside of his mind. There was a small part of him that couldn't help but wonder if Zhi was going to use tonight as an opportunity to take as wing at Eurydice. With how public it was, he didn't think the Verdant courtier would do anything overt. If he did, it would be something subtle or he would have someone else do his dirty work for him with all of the favors he was calling in. After he had his pool time fun here, Lucas needed to hit the crowd, and start to socialize and see what bits of gossip he could pick up.
"Something tells me I am going to embarrass the hell out of myself playing against y'all." He grinned at the group of individuals who appeared to be fare more athletic than he was or at least their physiques were more imposing. Still, he wanted to have some fun before he dove into political reindeer games, and socializing with a mixture of Spring and Summer to start his night off would make him look more innocuous when he made his social rounds later.
His flip flops and his shirt were set off to the side by the the table and chairs where the others set down their belongings. Then he cannonballed into the water next to Kai.
"WOO!"

"Luke, we're at a pool full of drink people. Everyone who plays volleyball is amazing tonight," she said, signaling a staff member to hook them up. The ball came, and she set it over at Ivory, getting the game rolling. "Not to mention, pool volleyball is about keeping the rally going."
She looked to Wayland.
"So. Anyone you're aching to meet tonight, Ramona? It seems like a who's-who of our crew tonight." Strange. There were a ton of Summer present, even more than Spring. What was that about?
A nod over toward the Chevalier crew, where the wrath-bedecked Loki was hanging with Eurydice and Nimbus's crew.
"Loki's got quite the rep for being a good artisan. Cars and the like. I think you two would get along well. He's a rough sort, but a good guy. I like working with him."

Ivory shielded herself from the resounding splash of Lucas as he collided with the water, but the laugh that left her throat indicated she felt no ill will at the spontaneity.
That said, Ivory was not paying immediate attention as the rally began, but she recovered! Setting the rally to continue with someone else.
At the words of Loki, Ivory didn't say much. She didn't know the Fireheart well.
"Plus, he's kinda cute," she eventually quipped, the grin on her lips betraying her jest as the game continued.

When the splash of water Lucas sends into the air ends up spraying her in the face a little, Wayland just whips her head side to side to clear it and resettle her wet hair. She smirks, and her attention goes to watching the ball, until Kai distracts her with conversation. "Loki, huh? I've never met him," she admits as she watches the first passes of the volleyball. When it comes her way she gives the the ball a decent hit and bounces it towards Lucas. "I dunno, it's Riley's big night. I didn't really make any plans except to support them and spend time with friends." No social agenda here except a good time.

Lucas did his best to continue the rally, but alas, as predicted he ended up whiffing the ball completely. Since he was expecting this outcome, he as more amused than anything else. He chuckled as he swam over to where the volley ball is and he picked it up.
"The spirit of the party knows I'm not on Team S^2, so it's like, nah, not today my chilly dude."
He stopped next to Kai and bopped the ball over to her.
"Let's have you try and get the rally going again. I don't think my ego could take another swing and a miss, even if everyone else in attendance thinks I'm awesome for giving volleyball a go."
The Fairest continued to look amused while he poked fun at himself. Maybe he would have better luck using the skill sets he was more accustomed to. He glanced over in the direction of the Chevaliers, after Kai pointed them out, and he attempted to catch a glimpse of Eurydice's mood.

The ball went bouncing back over to Wayland again. Kai gave a half-smile at Ivory's remark. She'd have to educate Ivory on Loki's willingness to stab the shit out of people later.
"We'll have to get around to hosting here sometime, Abby. Maybe this Summer? Something for Apollo, you know. I think he would have liked the shop."
She readied herself for the next move in their little game.
"Later on, I'll have to go say hi to Riley. I bought them a card. I had some business for you at some point here, Ramona, if you were interested -- but it can wait."

There is a shrug from Wayland's comment regarding respecting the party as a thing to only celebrate Riley's debut.
"I strongly doubt they'll be upset if you take the opportunity to make some inroads," she says, "I'd imagine they'd encourage it, if I'm honest. Once you say hello and offer congratulations, of course."
A slight reminder to the assembled that they still had an obligation, but the night was young. They would have time to see to Archie's ego request for those Lost in attendance.
There is a slight smile at Lucas' self-deprecrating jab, but it's offer more as a courtesy. The Pale Dragon wasn't a fan of that sort of humor, but how could she expect Lucas to know? They didn't know each other well and this wasn't the place to delve into the humor's source in his psyche.
A more humbled expression hits the dragon as Kai voiced a desire for her to be involved in an event dedicated to a fallen Summer. Whether Kai meant to or not, it was touching to hear that she at least trusted her enough to assist in the endeavor.
"Sure thing, Kai, I think we can make that work. Just don't expect me to take a central role when it goes live. That should be something your people do, I can help with planning and funding though," she said. Ivory would have felt wrong using that sort of event as a means of catapulting her own good will. "Might be worth it to touch base with those he left behind. See what they think and let them be involved, if they would like to be."

“I didn’t bring my business cards with me tonight,” she tells Kai as she watches the Wizened, “But if you’ll pass me your phone sometime before the night ends, I’ll make sure you have my number,” she assures her with a small smile.
When Ivory encourages her to go meet Loki, a small look of confusion pinches her brows, but it’s gone quickly. “I’m making inroads right here,” she says with a small, flirty smirk, trying to sound confident. (After all, it's not like Ivory's trying to get rid of her… right?)
“And I’ll make inroads later at the owner’s table.” She’s been enjoying herself in the pool, moving in the water even when it’s not her turn with the ball. Her movements pause for a moment, as her expression sobers, looking distant for a beat, before adding, “That’s… a lot for me,” she tells the Dragon with a vulnerable expression.
Her movement resumes and she shrugs, “But if you think he’s that worth meeting, I suppose I can say hi.” Halfway through the sentence her eyes track the ball as Kai gets ready to pass it. And when it goes into the air, she leaps through the water after it…

The quick study of Eurydice was enough to flag the potential of something going down. Maybe Zhi was going to make his move tonight, maybe something else was going down. Either way, he found himself in another position where he had to make a decision on the moment and roll with it one way or another. If he could connect with Eurydice tonight and warn her, then he wouldn't have to involve Riley in his plans after all.
His gaze drifted in the direction of where Riley was sitting. He thought back to how worried they were about involving themselves in this mess. Surprisingly, they were even worried about him. It was at least worth a try to see if he could strike up a conversation with Eurydice tonight and move somewhere private. If it didn't work out, then at least he had his backup plan with Riley. With how busy they had been prepping for tonight on top of their rehearsal schedule, he doubted they had had a chance yet to get the ball rolling on setting up their meeting.
He turned his attention to the rest of the group.
"Why don't we go and say hi to Loki now? I wouldn't mind doing some social mingling myself before also congratulating Riley and catching up with a couple of familiar faces."
Since everyone seemed keen on going to say hi to Loki anyways, this was the perfect opportunity to roll in with the group, and approach Eurydice from a more subtle angle.

The ball was so well shot that when she dove for it, she didn't stand a chance against that epic spike. Sploosh! When the Polychromatic came up for air, she sputtered, "Nice!"
It didn't take much to see that Wayland wouldn't mind A Moment With Ivory. Flashing a kind smile, Kai said, "Tell you what, Ivory. I'll go over there first. I'll clear the air some, then you can come join me?" Her eyeline drifted to where Nimbus sat with the group, as if to signal her intent.
It would give them a few minutes while Kai went and cleaned up what had happened. She offered an arm to Lucas. "C'mon, Luke. Let's go be cool as hell."

Lucas clapped, clearly impressed with the hell of a spike that Wayland delivered. "Damn, nicely done!"
The Fairest wasn't sure who all was going to take along with them, but he wasn't going to miss his opportunity to roll on into the Chevalier group with an established Summer Courtier. He scooted from the pool to dry off and put his shirt back on. While he was drying off, he sent a text message to Sedna.
"Hells yeah." He grinned at Kai while taking the offered arm.

Ivory beamed at the Maker's comment as Wayland made her preference for staying near her more or less clear. Naturally, Ivory didn't have the heart to explain she could be a bit of a disaster politically, but somehow the dragon doubted Waylands interests in her companionship did not fall within the goals of political maneuvering.
As Kai leaps and fails to intercept the Ogre's masterful spike, Ivory grinned, her mouth agape at the feat as she granted Wayland an impressed clap.
Then came the reality as Kai elaborated on her previously stated plan from earlier. Kai was going to try and clear a path. Further she expected Ivory to tag along, sooner or later.
Dammit.
The Pale Dragon knew she had to apologize, but she was never big on the act. The fact that Kai felt she needed to go first was a bit of a hit to the ego as well. It meant Kai knew Ivory was unlikely to do it on her own and that made the Fairest feel like a child.
Not that she was going to let Kai know that.
Instead the Pale Dragon kept up her warm smile as Lucas and Kai departed, granting the latter an affirmative nod to signal that she would be along eventually.
Ivory looked back back to the Maker, a pale hand lightly brushing one of her silvered forearms as she drifted closer.
"Take all the time you need," she said, "I'm not going anywhere yet and I'm pretty comfortable where I'm at."
