The Darkling looked to Mitchas he presented his proposal for a working oath. It had been on Riley's mind that as a way to handle this turbulent situation. But something didn't sit quite right with Mitch offering it. Why wasn't he questioning Penrose's intentions? If he had nothing to hide, asking for clarification would make sense. But he was quick and willing to brush past it. Perhaps to ensure nothing was said publicly?
That doesn't matter right now. Rick reminded himself.
He and the others had a job to do. Their personal agendas could put that risk. The oath was the best way to ensure they could get this all done. Why Mitch was a target for Summer was something the Darkling can dig up in a more private setting.
"An oath works for me," Rick said, glancing to those gathered.
It meant he also would need to drop his hardened mask. His eyes drifting around, glad they had moved away from the food carts and into a more secluded area. Letting his Mein and mantle show in Whitney was a risk but one he was going to need to take. So he let out a sigh. Soft subtle bioluminescence flowed through his veins, building as a soft glow that seemed to peel away dried patches of flesh that molted away into discolored patches. The whites of his eyes bled backward, like oil in water, tinting the eyes mirror black. While the Hair illuminated by the inner light bleached white until finally, two feather antennas emerged from the scalp. The illusionary metamorphosis looked painful and satisfying all at once.
"Shall we?" asked the Moth.

It was the phone call all over again. Oh well they had reached a point where ti was figured out. Archie followed suit, having worn no other face than his own he was not going to have as hard a transition as poor ol’ Rick did.
“Anyone have words in mind? Or maybe something like…”
He sighed softly.
“"I swear on my honour to join this quest for knowledge.
I Promise to not take an action that will enact harm on my comrades, whether this be physical, or through deals with those conspire against us.
I Promise to assist my comrades to the best of my abilities.
I Promise to ensure that we will protect one another, until we deliver our knowledge to Chugunkin under the penalty of losing my strength of will."
Glamour stirred as the Wyrd had eyes on them. The Fairest was in, were the rest?

"I swear on my Honour to join this quest for knowledge..."
The Elemental was shed in the light of the Wyrd, its thorns cleaving the Skin of the Masks from the marbled ivory of Oren's transparent visage. Its light bent across his edges and curves, shining faintly in his glass blown hair. "...to wear my blade as thy shield, to throw my name to the wind, so that it may be called in times of aid, and to foment the Wrath of the Iron Spear towards all hurt, harm, and danger, save for Thee."
Glamour filled the blank, silent pools that were his eyes. The Wyrd coagulated at the very heart of him, and his tongue pressed into the damp earth of this Pledge's founding. With his form finally known to all in attendance, he discarded all pretense. "Surprise!"

Mitch opened his mouth to bind his own voice to the Pledge, the words getting stuck in his throat as he blinked at the familiar Elemental.
It's just a coincidence.
"Oh! Hi, Oren."
Don't jump to conclusions.
He repeated Archie's words, almost mindlessly as he tried to keep his focus on the immediate. Oaths required repetition and a physical action to seal, and the look he gave Archie indicated that he fully expected his boundaries to be further pressed with Spring habits of Cupid's Arrow, as he clasped the man's hand and extended the symbolic act to the rest.
The Fairest was a little spent, zoning out for the time being as the others webbed their fates in the din. The last round of emotional labour coupled with further surprises had left him more than a little deflated. He was glad he wasn't a Wizened.
"Um. I'll ask some of the Obvious Bikers where to buy some coke and check out the closest crack house, I guess."
He didn't even wait for a confirmation as he tucked his hands into his jacket and headed to the bar. He even slipped in some headphones into the sculpted pointed ears; a single, smooth motion that didn't waste any effort.

Pledges were in, and Archie was visibly stressed out by the reveal of the Summer. Was it all some sort of frustrating joke? Or was he looking at the sharpest spoon in the drawer. However they were pledged, and now the Summer was in, whether he liked it or not. However the entire situation seemed to put a sour light on things. Mitch was agreeable, chipper, in their short time together Archie had picked up on that. But hands in pocket and headphones in? Was he running? He looked to Riley. “Not my scene if you want to tag along, I’ll be nearby if you need back up, just ring me.”
He didn’t feel he had it in him to go somewhere so rough and tumble and would save his spoons for when they were meeting Calli formally. Josh (Strong King) - Archie — Today at 10:18 AM

Rick repeated the oath given by Archie, playing his hand upon Archies and the others. Letting the glamour seal the pact within the wyrd.
Mitchell seemed to know Oren was a bit of a surprise and complicated the possible political dumpster fire. That was something to worry about later; the pledge would hold them all accountable till the act of this was done.
When Mitchell stated his goal and didn't wait for an answer before heading to the Biker bar. Rick's throat tightened. Mitch had proved to be reliable and skilled at this situation. Still, the man did drive here in a Tesla, and Rick suspected he wasn't well versed in street etiquette. This could end badly.
"Shit," They muttered.
"I'll go with him, make sure he doesn't get into trouble, we'll be in touch Archie" Rick says with a grimace.
A breath out, and he let the glamour work its magic. Like forming an exoskeleton, their flesh hardened and swallowed up the signs of their Mien. Leaving them looking mortal once more. Rick wasn't going to take chances.
He moves to follow behind Mitch.
"Wait up," he calls.

"Oh no, there he goes." "Somebody stop him...", he chirped out of the corner of his mouth, smirking as he followed along like a good little watchdog.
Oren could see it clearly, Mitchell clapping a skinhead in a leather vest on the shoulder, full of cheer and verve. It could go downhill very quickly. And that cherub of a dancer was going to get himself knifed like a charcuterie board. As much as that tickled him, it wasn't something he wanted to see.
Wow, Rick walked really fast. "Hey! -ahem- Wait for me!"

Characters receive a Beat for swearing a Pledge. Archie gets the custom Condition Insightful. Provides a +2 to Manipulation to encourage group dynamics to either synergize or aggravate. @archie Mitch's mood clearly took a hard turn due to a perfect storm of stressors.
Playing peacemaker wasn't an issue until Oren cracked his face, where the action appeared to trigger him. The jump wasn't from fear; the shudder and strange movement appeared to be some sort of imagined pained a-la "the floor is lava" or The Little Mermaid's curse (in which every step felt like broken glass).
The Fairest seemed actually quite competent with coping tools when it came to the madness of Arcadia, and had brought himself down quickly to re-integrate... only to get set off a second time when Oren's true face was revealed. The reaction was a human one, indicating some regret and guilt with a level of familiarity that coded a relationship.
Due to the Chatelaine's nature demanding he pay extra attention to everyone's needs before they asked, he was able to note that there was an edge of questioning fear as Mitchell forced a jovial response and buried whatever feelings he had on the matter.
