She would nod to his request to err away from speaking to Sedna,
"You feel Chugunkin would take offense to attempts to soften the situation?" she asked, "Why would speaking to Sedna be ill-advised? Admittedly, I know very little about her, but she is the only Winter I know in any great capacity, though I've seen Fawkes. I'm... not trying to argue, Mr. Hartman. I want to understand."
Ivory was trying to be diplomatic, but it seemed things were beginning to crumble.
"Gentrification of an entire neighborhood? Yes. However, Chugunkin is concerned with a single block. That takes less time, substantially less if they intend to renovate the majority of properties rather than build new structures. It's the most profitable method and the risk is low," Ivory said. Archie attempting to explain real estate to Ivory raised the Pale Dragon's hackles slightly, her frustration plain, though she resisted the urge to snap. "And in order for renovation or building to take place, the properties at hand need to be vacant. Which you are correct they would normally do bit by bit. Assuming one company is contracted for the work, that is. I assume more than one will likely be contracted in order to better facilitate the shift smoothly and quickly after we've completed our end."
"Given Sedna's presence while the matter was discussed and her ties to Chugunkin, I do not feel it is overly presumptive to assume that the Knight of Coins may be doing this to assist elements within the Arrow," she explained, "The reason he was able to reign people in is the fact that the core of the situation still aligns well with our ideals as well. Chugunkin wants them to leave, presumably to avoid struggles later on. I assume the Winter Court wants this as well, but their motives are likely different. If we are able to appeal to the Winters involved, they could see the sense in providing their blessing. More will be able to leave quickly if aid is provided, which suits both of our purposes, if I am correct."
Politics was not the reason Ivory wanted to help, but if Archie was concerned about bringing Winter in, it couldn't hurt to explain why she felt it was a good idea politically.
"He deferred to Esquire Piper," Ivory answered, "She rejected the suggestion that she could help and the Knight of Rains suggested I work with Stheno. And I will not work with the Gorgon."
